Graham periodically wakes but usually puts himself back to sleep. This started up in the last couple of months (he's 21 months old). I think they start dreaming around this age. Teething also makes a difference. I swear he's been working on his 2 year molars for like 2 months - his gums are so swollen and sometimes I feel a ridge and then it goes away.

My son also is a snack a holic. He's a VERY picky eater and I struggle quite about with worrying that I'm indulging in bad food. Though to be fair, I indulge him with Rice Chex and Cheerios. Could be worse! Maybe your son is going through a growth spurt and needs more food.

Love,
Hillary

Gavin has been waking up atleast once now every night.....much better than 4-5 times for sure. He is getting a molar now so that may be causing some issues I was unaware of. I had put some baby orajel all over his gums and felt that area was all swollen and he would cry when I would touch it.

Last night he slept much much better. I gave him a piece of Cinnamon French Toast and 5 oz of milk along with coating his gums with baby orajel. I heard him a couple times and at 830 I was getting up to get him but when I got to his crib he was sleeping again. LOL He woke up at 10am again. Here's to another great night tonight!

Jonas would have periods when he wake up more than normal, and it would normally coincide with teething, or a growth spurt. And of course I wouldn't realize why we were up all night until afterward when I saw the new tooth that popped through. I gave him some infant tylenol or Ora-gel a couple of nights when it was bad, but normally it would pass after a few days.

He didn't really start sleeping through the night consistently until 18 months though, so unfortunately I don't have any magic sleep remedies.

Can anyone give me some advise or ideas on what I need to be doing differently?

Gavin is going to be 1 on 1/31 and the past week he has been waking up all through the night again. Is this normal? I don't remember my daughter doing this (of course that was 14 yrs ago as well). This week he has been waking at 10am and going down for a nap at 1 for anywhere from 1.5 hrs to 2.5 hrs. We have breakfast, lunch, and dinner and one snack meal along with a bed time snack to make sure he is full for bed time. Only differences going on now is he refuses to eat anything we are not eating and he doesn't always eat that for me and he is on milk now instead of formula.
