Life is intense right now. I go back to work on Wed so I am dealing with all the sadness and stress over that. Work is going to be a bitch but I have set up a very good schedule that will allow me to work only 4 days a week with one day that I bring Owen in with me and the other three days he will be in care. Its the best case scenario so I am pleased with this.

As for me, I cant seem to get in any routine at ALL. There is a million things to do ALL the time and I am planning my sisters baby shower in Boston. So hectic. I did get a 14 day free pass to the gym and the class schedule is looking pretty good in the evening. and they have free childcare. So hopefully going back to work will help me manage my time better and I can start to get on a routine.

Add me to the "things have been busy, but are starting to settle down" list =) Sweet Pea had her heart surgery last month and is doing awesome. I have a completely different baby now lol!

I won't be doing any Turkey Trots- we're traveling this year. But I did sign up for a New Year's Double (in Allen, and they have 5k- full distances). A half marathon New Year's Eve and then another half New Year's Day. I'm hoping to get some quality training in the next few weeks.

I hadn't thought about a Turkey Trot. I host thanksgiving at my house so I do a lot of cooking. But perhaps if I do more cooking ahead of time, I can do a race that morning!

Hillary

I'm doing one with my sister on Thanksgiving Day. They call it "The Gasping Gobbler", which I think is hilarious.

I'm getting all excited about the holidays too! Even though Jonas has no idea whats going on, I can't wait to decorate everything and have the families come in town to spend time with him. I've already started buying him little presents, when typically I procrastinate until the last minute for Christmas shopping.

What an awesome husband you have to survive all that alone time with Graham. My DH is doing a great job being a daddy, but he gets pretty frazzled after a couple hours.

I've been doing a little running with the baby jogger, trying to work back up to 5ks for now. That baby is getting heavy! It's a tough workout pushing him along, but it feels good to be moving again.

Anybody planning on doing a Turkey Trot this month? With or without baby in tow?

Hi team! How is everyone doing this fall? It's been a pretty hectic fall for me. I spent about 5 weeks of it away from my baby, which is insanely hard. Luckily it wasn't all in a row. And thank goodness for Skype! I got to at least see Graham most days I was gone. There were tears, mostly from me, for sure. My husband did an awesome job of solo parenting, but I'm glad to be home for a while.

On the plus side, there were days I was able to exercise in the morning or in the evening, which aren't options when I'm at home. Consequently, my running is starting to get back to where it was pre-pregnancy (pace and distance have increased, but still not quite where I want to be) and I've lost all (and then some) of my baby weight.

I'm excited for the our first holiday season with Graham, though nervous about the amount of stuff that will undoubtedly be coming from the grandparents. We have a small house which we are rapidly outgrowing!

Love,
Hillary
