Sorry it's been so long I am way behind on emails. Try this link for more info on starting one or getting one started in your area - the final walk/run graduation always happens in Conway from what I understand.

I'm not certain. I know there are several Spark sites in Arkansas, but the majority seem to be in what we consider 'metro' areas. emoticon For those of us that reside in more rural parts of the state, I think it will be like it was before the roads were paved - we'll have to figure it out as we go! emoticon emoticon emoticon

I'm not sure why it's called women can run but at the 3 that I know of they all offer walking. The one I attend in Bryant offers walking, beginning runner, intermediate runner and advanced running. This holds true for the one in Little Rock and Maumelle too. Here is a link to the web site where you can sign up and get more info to see if there is one in your area.

Have you had knee surgery? If so I would speak with a doctor before starting this program.

Once you click the link you can click on the women can run link in the gray shaded area to the left of the page.

I'd be a bit leery to run, but now if any of them are in walking or hiking I'd like to know! Run - eh, once you've had knee surgery, I think it may be best to set that aside. Just my personal belief there - no medical proof.

Anyone participating in the free women can run clinics that are going on around Arkansas right now? I am doing the one in Bryant but I know they are all over the state. Just wanted to see if anyone else was doing them too.
