Today I'm going to make a few cards. I'm going to use cuts I have on hand from a swap so I should be able to whip them up pretty quickly. I need 6 cards done by tomorrow and I am just starting on number 3. I better get with it!

We're doing Scrapbooking Roads Shop Hop. I've gone to 13 stores -- 6 today and 7 on Friday. I think there are 34 stores participating. We did all 38 last year!!!! Yep -- we're crazy!!! Each store had something different to offer. There are take & makes -- each store had a 6 x 6 page they designed and some had a 2nd page. Some stores gave you 2 pages in their kits. They also have pins. Some require you to spend $20 to get the free pin, other stores just gave you the pin! We've met some amazing scrappers along the way.
I really should go through all my "stuff" and do a garage sale -- I have way too much!!!!

If the journey was easy I wouldn't appreciate the benefits I reap.

I am getting ready for a Garage Sale, so have destroyed the house....I need to make a couple cards sometime today. The Stampin Up gal that I go to has had a garage sale for the last 4 years. All of her clients can bring stuff for it and this year it took in $4711.00...It has to be stamping or scrapping supplies. I made almost $300 and I didn't take that much. I am ready for the downtime of Fall and Winter...want so much to just hibernate, but always something going on or someone coming. Carol

I am working on cards for my workshop. I could not sleep last night, so at 2am I tried making a card. I finished it and finally went to sleep. When I woke up this morning, I took a look at the card. I do not know what I was thinking with the colors I used. I guess that is what I get for trying to make a card at 2am.

Denice you will have to be sure and take a pic of those many ITT's that you will be receiving shortly. After hearing about your marathon ITT making I'd love to see what everyone came up with. I can assure you I'll never participate in one that requires 1000 ITT's! You are incredible to do that!

My goal is to make a 6-pack of Any Occasion cards for an old friend. We are going to go visit she and her husband in Albuquerque next weekend and I want to bring her a little something as a thank you for having us to their home. I only have one card done so far!

WOW ... everyone is keeping busy. I've been making cards this last week and working on a blog. Having fun and being creative.

It is amazing all the craft blogs on the internet. So many talented people who are sharing their skills/knowledge. I love the videos and tutorials, they have helped me so much.

Have a great day.

We did an 18 state trip in May that I've been trying to get Scrapbooked, but life keeps getting in the way of my playtime.
I told my hubby that today I'm working on my album.... but he's already talking about hiking this afternoon.... I need to get him and indoor hobby!

Just found a stash of postcards I was lucky enough to recieve from friends and family through the years of international destinations...I am creating a post card wall in my kitchen so I can have a "window to the world" while I cook...or clean...or just need to look at another world. Plus, I can imagine all the ethnic foods that come from that part of the world. emoticon

Hi everyone...I am new to the team (I just joined sparkpeople last night)...so HI!

I am a preschool teacher and I am currently working on a scrapbook for my boss of all those christmas cards (you know...the ones with the children's pictures on them). It's a surprise gift and I have to finish it by Oct. So far I have done 50 pages (and that's just the past 3 years)and I still have more to go. Wish me luck!

I'm still working on a knitting project for my bathroom. :)

Plus I have some general-purpose cards in mind that I'd like to make.

Yesterday my daughters & I made oatmeal cookies--does that count as a "craft"??? :) :) :)

Today I'm going to post the Scrapbook Challenge (this summer has been CRAZY and I keep forgetting to post on Sundays!). I also set a goal of 4 scrapbook pages.

We just went to State College/Penn State on Saturday, and I think that's what I'll scrap today!

Over the weekend I got my "work" album caught up (every year we have a national meeting, so what better time to get some pictures!). Next is to finish journalling my year in Japan album.

I'm working on a Red/White/Blue layout for Digital Sparks' July challenge.

And in the non-crop department, I have a few rows left to go on an Idiot's Dishcloth that I'm knitting. I'm a fairly novice knitter, so I'm sticking with dishcloths mostly until I feel more confident in my skills (less ripping out).

Ellie - This crop was hosted by a friend / Creative Memories Consultant. I used to be a consultant and would run weekend aways, basically 2 days over a weekend and 24 hours of cropping time, about twice a year. Although I was productive yesterday and got 13 pages done, I did not have fun and will most likely not be doing this crop again with this group of women.

Thanks to both ONECALMMOM and GR8PLAN8 for your pointers on finding crops in my area which is Long Island N.Y. I will go to meetup.com and also explore the options at Michaels. In the past they did try a mini crop however it did not fly. They do have classes however. Bye for now Nannyellie

I'm working on my son's scout albums. 2 are done and I have to fill in the middle gap!!! I started them a long time ago and set them aside for his Eagle Court of Honor (4 years ago!!!) and now I want to finish them. All that memorabillia is taking up much needed space that I need for new projects!!!

You might want to check out meetup.com. I belong to a few scrapbooking groups on meetup and one of them has a monthly 12 hour crop. They charge $10 to cover food and sancks.

NANNYELLIE1 -- not sure where you're located but we do 12 hour crops all the time. Sometimes 3 & 4 day crops on the long weekends! You might want to talk to your local Michaels store -- I know all 4 Michaels stores near me (literally 15 min. in any direction & one is about a mile down the hill!!!)have a large room where they teach their various classes. I'd talk to the manager and see what Saturday is available and have them charge a minimal amount -- $5 and offer a 20% discount on all purchases during the crop. It's a win-win situation for everyone. Everyone can bring their own snacks and you can go out for lunch or dinner, bring your own, whatever works for you. When I do crops at my house I charge enough to cover food, snacks and dessert. You might not be able to get a full 12 hours but you could get enough time to make a dent in you projects. I don't know what kind of set up AC Moore has, they're east coast stores, but probably the same format as Michaels. They're always looking to expand their business so it couldn't hurt to ask!

If the journey was easy I wouldn't appreciate the benefits I reap.

What an achievement PugleTmom I have not tried doing scrapping past events just since the arrival or acutually pregnancy of first grandchild who is 7. That is an accomplishment. Just celebrated our 40th with a surprise party thrown by our kids so I guess thats the only scrapping I will have of our "wedding"
Also Amy where is it you find a 12 hour crop? I have to start doing some research because there does not seem to be any around here on Long Island. In fact there are no nearby momandpop scrapbook stores just the chains Michaels and ACMoore. Oh well Ellie

Congrats PugletMom! My wedding album was definetly the hardest project I've done, I think I re-did it 3 times before I finally got it right ;) I'm glad it's done though ;)

Well, today is my Mom's Birthday, so I'm taking her to a 12-hour crop! I'm going to be working on my childhood album, so it'll be nice to have her there in case I have any questions ;)

I know what you mean often I get into the pics LO, and save the journaling and then forget as you say places dates details. I believe I am ADD when it comes to scrapping--does sound like you are quite the traveler and you must love that. We did Europe 40 years ago when we dh and me sister and her husband when my dh was in the AirForce. It was the time of slides for pictures and we were young 19 and 20 and didn't appreciate the picture taking part. Recently went through them and enjoyed it especially that we tent camped and traveled in a VW Bug. To be yound again. LOL

I am trying to get caught up on my vacations. I am about 3 vacations behind. It seem like I never have enough creativity to finish one whole vacation at a time. I sat down to finish my Italy vacation but was not in the mood for Italy so I worked on Morocco. I don't know, I guess has a creative bug for working with ethnic prints and earth-tone pallets today. I had better finish that one soon because I am starting to forget the names of all the places and monuments I visited.

I have never made any inchies. I was surfing some blogs and I saw some pretty cute ones but it looks like they take a long time to do.

Love the "inchies" (1 inch designs). Aren't they fun to use with paper punches and accent the layout.

I am working on personal scrapbooking last years vacation to the Outer Banks, considering its one week before this years trip you can say I'm just a little behind. Now 1st to Denice have you itt's started to make you twitch yet?? kidding of course your Asian ones were great, then to SkertsoI await you thinking of you cards(I believe we are in the same swap) they will be an especially good one to have on hand with todays stress factors it will be nice to send them out to those in need of a pick up and last to Rose the recipe card project is right up my alley very sentimental for family heirloom recipes. I will need to pick your mind if the time comes that my DS gets engaged. Fingers crossed. Everyone keep up the good work and most of all have fun. Ellie
