A day off for me, I would rather have been at work. I spent nearly 5 hours at the dentist, starting at 8:00 this morning. The plan was one filling and 2 crowns. I don't know what happened, but the filling gave her lots of trouble and took way longer than the crown. They started with the filling and after 3 attempts at finishing it (an hour and a half of working on it), decided to take a break and do the crown. While waiting for the crown to be made, she went back to the filling - "fourth time's the charm" she said. I asked what the trouble was and now I can't remember what she said, because it didn't mean anything to me. The crown wasn't easy either, and she had to do a second one! Also said she nicked my cheek so don't eat anything spicy. Ugh. I'm not too impressed, but partly my fault. I should have asked more questions when they asked me which dentist I wanted - not the one that just graduated! My jaw was so sore from holding it wide open for so long, that when she suggested putting the other crown off until later I was more than happy to agree.

Came home and took ibuprofen - which I also should have done before I left - and took a nap. Just had some soup which I could barely eat because I'm still somewhat numb. My face was numb up to my eyes.

I'm cranky, thanks for letting me vent.

MAW: can’t believe classes are already starting. Have fun!

Sorry to read your under the weather again. Covid test is a good idea….

I did not sleep last night - I probably got about 3 or 4 hours under my belt. Just could not get back to sleep - figure I'll be dead to the world tonight. I did try taking a nap - but I usually can't go to sleep during the day.

As usual, keeping myself busy. Do think my clothes dryer is acting up, but DH went down and checked things out. I have a load in it now - I'll see how it goes when I take the laundry out.

Hitting the Y pool again tomorrow morning - bringing DS along with me. Also have my book club meeting tomorrow.

I am very tired, so I'm playing games to keep me awake - LOL!

I do appreciate my feet, but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't love me if I tried walking from California to Massachusetts.

It is also supposed to make it easier to find something - you don't have to scroll through a huge long thread.

First day of class today. Fingers crossed! It sounds like a great class, but so much (like almost everything!) depends on the teacher.

Had my three things to do today (from the other thread) all planned out. Today was going to be an outdoors day - poop patrol, take out the composting, mow the lawn. Then I remembered last night that I have class today from 9 - 10 and won't be able to mow. And it will be hot and sunny after class. Rats.

Will look into testing for COVID today. At this point I'm pretty sure it's just allergies, though I am not prone to them. But a cough and congestion are back this morning, and a very deep voice. Probably wouldn't worry about it if it weren't for Mom. I tried to walk her through refilling her pill boxes yesterday and it was pretty much a disaster. She got the Rx boxes done but refused to bring the filled pill boxes for supplements out of the drawer and use them instead of the boxes she's used to. Sigh. She's perfectly capable, but just won't do it. Too confusing and it won't kill her not to take the supplements. Sigh.

Have a great day, wash your hands, take your supplements, wear a mask as you appreciate your feet while carrying a black cat to the non-profit thrift store in Massachusetts, and don't be a COVIDiot!

I'm not sure, but I think it was so that people who subscribe to team emails get a fresh reminder every day. If we stick to one long continuous thread, once you "fall off" that thread you stop getting notifications.

Otherwise, I think it's just our team tradition.

I'm so curious... Why a new topic every day... I was going to scroll through old messages, and now I have to go back to find them.... :)

Still waiting for repair of the water line--and water. I have never much liked our maintenance/repairman at the water co-op--from the time we built here (23 years ago), he rubbed me the wrong way with his actions on the backhoe. No respect for gardens at all (your sister's garden is beautiful Woubbie). Tear down a tree instead of going around and a horrible procrastinator. All round delightful person--not. Anyway I am blaming him for the delay whether he is responsible or not.

So my day will be another play it by ear.

I'm up early today, making sure Kyle got to his eye appointment. He's already on his way, so I decided to just stay up. I've been planning to roll back my bedtime/wakeup time for a long while now, today might be a good day to start that process. I've already been hitting the hay before my usual 1am more often than not lately, so I'll shoot for 12:30 - 8:30 for sleep time.

Today is also:
BLACK CAT APPRECIATION DAY (This one's for you, Nero and Speedy!)
NATIONAL NONPROFIT DAY
NATIONAL I LOVE MY FEET DAY!
NATIONAL MASSACHUSETTS DAY
NATIONAL THRIFT SHOP DAY

So if you can appreciate your feet as you walk to the non-profit thrift shop in Massachusetts you'll have a perfect day!

Today I am meeting someone at 11am to pick up some postcards, and then later I'll head to Target to pick up an order.

I was close to finishing one school-paper packet last night, but ended up scooping it up again so that DH could get to bed; I'll knock that one off this morning, and then tackle the next packet.

And I have two small sewing projects that I just need to power through, and then I can put the machine away for a while.

Other than that, I'm still leveling a new character in WoW, should be up to speed by tomorrow.

Hope you all have a marvelous Monday!
