Oh, Leslie, hugs to you!

Thank you, Kris - the thought counts! My SIL will help and I've got two other friends who said they will help.

I blew up my sister's phone with a bazillion 'do you want this' photos today. I think I will start by pulling out whatever I can right now. There's a non-profit that warehouses furniture and household items for people in need, and they can pick up the furniture towards the end of the month. One of the friends who said she'd help volunteers at a Seattle nonprofit that sells donated items for creative and artistic purposes - she will take a lot of things with pleasure.

I will just chisel away at it for now!

Oh, Leslie - wish I could help with your mom's apartment. When we did mom and dad's house it was overwhelming and we had several of us kids/spouses working on it. I'm sure she doesn't have quite as much, but it's still a lot of decisions to make, especially if you're the only one doing it. Do you have someone who can help if needed?

I feel like I've spent (wasted was my original word) my entire morning on Spark nutrition. Entering in some recipe groupings (and losing one in the process and starting over), and trying to decide what to make for Sunday dinner tomorrow with the family. I still have to do the rest of my weekly menu and get groceries too. Need to walk and do some housecleaning. And I'd really like to take a nap but looks like that may not happen.

I think I'm too challenged by every day functioning to take on more... LOL

Today's plan is to get some client work done, go to my mom's apartment and collect the truckload of mail (junk) that has accumulated (won't even fit in her box anymore), and then go see my mom. I'm paying her January rent today but also giving notice on her apartment. That means the rest of January, besides tax season, is about sorting and clearing out her stuff. I'll probably try to store what she might still want/need in my garage for now.

I've been bouncing all over and feel like I've been overeating - probably a combo of exhaustion and mindlessness fueling that whether it's real or just has felt like I'm overeating. So today's menu is a whole lot of bone broth!

Hmm, I was thinking to do an alternate for the calendar challenge, but maybe I can find something simple to try.

Friends coming over to play cards this afternoon, so I'll spend the morning getting ready. The woman who started the group eats low carb (most do not) and always drinks diet Pepsi (nothing else). She always takes her own drink when she plays cards at other people's homes, so she decided that the hostess would not serve anything at all. There's no food and everyone brings their own beverage. Works really well. She does have ice cubes, but that's it. Speaking of which, I should probably make a couple more trays of ice cubes.

And that's all for the day. I'll be trying a new meatloaf recipe from Dana Carpender as part of the team's Calendar Challenge. Today's challenge is to try a new recipe.
