Some of the other people there talked to her. She apologized saying that she gets carried away sometimes (not the exact wording). They also played another game with me. I stayed longer to practice until I got sick to my stomach. Only time the IBS has ever hit me at pickleball.

Fancy , I feel your pain. I get it. Trying harder for someone who has no self control or joy is hard. I also have history of speaking to that person & outcome was more words of lashing out. I wonder if another team /league. How can this challenge be diffused?? Hugs to surround you. At my club YOU would talk to our Manager on Duty. They would talk to the Bully.

I do that with several projects started at a time. Unfortunately, a lot of them I don't like so they don't get finished at all.

I was also reading late into the night last night, then went in to soak in a hot bath because I was so cold. I finally relented this afternoon and turned up the thermostat because I was so cold I had to zip up my jacket and get under my blanket. It has been 60-62 in my house and I had to turn the thermostat up to 68 to get the furnace to turn on. That warmed the house up to 66. Something just isn't right about that.

Had pickleball this morning and was doing pretty well most of the morning until I ended up playing with one of the women who was rude to me yesterday. Today she yelled at me for not hitting a ball between us and I finally ended up in tears. When you have been treated like dirt all your life, then people who you thought were your friends (though only for playing a game) it really hits you hard. I did end up playing another game after that and did okay then. I have just kept trying and trying to get better and I didn't need an attack like that when all I did was stop a swing at the ball so I wouldn't hit someone again and hurt them like happened a couple weeks ago.

Weird, I had some trouble sleeping two nights ago too, but slept great last night. I read that the moon's cycles can affect sleep, with the times around and at the full moon when sleep is most disrupted. Interesting theory (not sure if it's proven), but we aren't too near a full moon so that doesn't explain it!

It finally stopped raining so Feisty and I got our first walk after 2 days of not. We both needed it.

Waiting for DH to get home tonight to grill some burgers, I'm too lazy.

Woubbie, I do the very same. I go from room to room and do stuff. Take a handful of stuff to another room, work, and then go to another and round and round I go. It has served me well over the years. That's one of the reasons I use a timer for 10 to 15 minutes per room.

I did the BodyFlow this morning and I sweat and felt nauseous and hot but made it through. Child's pose is to be the repose recovery positition but I was very nauseous so just sitting with my gel packs helped.

Rowing? 90 seconds is all I could manage but I started! YYYYiiiiipppppeeeee!!!

Good tip, Leslie, didn't know that, thanks!

I've got a mixed bag of things to do today, but all at home. I still have the bad habit of starting multiple projects and then endlessly rotating through and around them. It's definitely left over from my work environment where that was the only way to be able to show progress in all the scattered projects I was signed on to.

Hopefully I'll resolve a couple of things and feel less torn about what to do first. At least the medical billing is sorted out for the month.

Happy Thursday, all!

Thanks, Leslie, and no, I didn't know any of that!

This morning I opened a new MS Word document and it did format properly. When I opened a new one last night, it had the wonky formatting, too.

I slept well enough for Fitbit to give me a higher sleep score - 85. I'll take it!

So, MAW, on the formatting issue (and I'm assuming you're using MS Word), sometimes the best way to fix formatting weirdness is to select the entire document, go to the Styles section on the ribbon (or menu), and click the bottom left corner. That will pop up the Styles box, and from there you can click Clear All. That will wipe out and reset all the formatting you've done, and it puts the doc back to your defaults. From there you can reformat without any quirks.

The other thing you could try is to click the paragraph symbol on the Paragraph section of the ribbon - that will toggle off and on the hidden formatting symbols. It sometimes gives you clues to what's going on. And my apologies if you already knew any of that!

Today I'm fixing a billing issue on the client I finished last night, and then I'm off to see my older client and get some checks signed. Home briefly, then to the PT job, then home to cook dinner for my mom (cheesy scrambled eggs, bacon and a gluten-free waffle...) and heat mine (freezer leftovers), and then off to see her.

Slept well too. And it was cold this morning--about 40*. Fall is definitely here.

Not much happening today except laundry, laundry and more laundry.

Enjoy what comes your way.

Hang on, it's going to be a bumpy ride.

No insomnia last night for me, either. Got to bed about an hour late, though. Had a homework paper to turn in and it wouldn't format properly. Unless I had it set for web layout, it formatted itself to print only one letter per line. I couldn't change it - tried changing margins, paper size, everything I could think of. Anyone have any ideas on what I did? I'm assuming I accidentally hit a wrong key but have no idea which one it might have been. Like Leonie, my computer sometimes does unexpected and unwanted things to me. But the paper wasn't due until 11:59 and I got it turned in about 11:05, so all is good.

Mom has a doctor's appointment this morning for a "wellness checkup" and flu shot. I may stop by Kmart and look at clothes (Kmart is by her house) but I doubt it. I do need new walking shoes, especially if I'm going to be walking to school four days a week, but I'll probably get them either at Penney's or at a sporting goods store, and get good ones. I have an appointment to get my CPAP checked this afternoon but I think I'll change it so I can go to my math teacher's office hours, if necessary. This new chapter is much easier than the last one - or at least the introductory section of the chapter is. As I recall, though, the introductory section of the last chapter was easy, too! My mind is definitely getting a work out, which was what I intended after all. And the science class is easy and fun, also what I intended.

And that's pretty much all I have planned for the day, other than housework and homework and maybe yard work.

Power is scheduled to be off from 10 am to 2 pm today. They've been working at replacing the underground power cables for months now, and are finally finished. Or will be when they make the connections. Will make lunch before 10 and leave it in my insulated grocery bag until lunch time.

Nay, you are Awesome!! I have YouTube playing Dark Screen ocean waves with sleep timer set. It calms down my mind & relaxes my body. It’s at a low sound so it’s far far in the background. YouTube has many Dark Screen sounds.

The book I’m reading is a time when all electricity & electronic situations are at an end. I have mentioned it before but it I am at the phsychogical impact of no food, water, medicine, ability to survive w/o turning to animalistic details is stunning. Food for thought. Everyone heads for the Hills.

I am getting out of my house today. My plan is to attend a body flow at 8:30 and row for 15 minutes & shower & wash my hair. Fingers crossed.

Debb, I am glad your HSMs work out. I am happy w/my HSM. I wish he could stay longer but this is always temporary location in their life Journey.

Hugs to surround us as a Team. I appreciate my utilities , car, gasoline , running water grocery store debit cards & the softness if my of my life. Yyytiiiiippppppeeee!!!

Got caught up in a book and had to finish it. So I thought I'd start the daily thread before I go to bed.

I've started kind of a bad habit. I have my computer set up on my big screen TV, and I've been setting off some music on YouTube and my Kindle reader on another tab and I stay up late reading and listening to music. I enjoy it, but it does tend to keep me up too late.
