It's not the cheerful chirping of 1 or 2 or 3 - I enjoy that as well. It's really creepy. At least they shut up after dark.

We have the toughest mosquitoes around here. I swear, you smack one, she falls to the ground, then gets up and comes at you again.

I like the sound of cicadas, I associate it with summer and walking in the evening. They won't start up here for a while yet. With the extremely wet year we've had, the gnat and mosquito population has exploded. I've already had 10 bites, mostly gnats, and I don't ever remember getting bit by them before. Or maybe I didn't realize that's what they were. Awful things. The local news said the mosquito trucks would start spraying for them next week. At least cicadas don't bite.

Good Morning Team!!! Cicadas??!!! They hurt my hearing & my aura. So creepy!!! My Uncle's back yard is full of that horrible sound.

I took a muscle relaxant last night and I had to get up to pee many times so I slept in to 9:00 a.m. My HSM was up early, and did her thing and she just left for her apartment near Green Bay. a package was delivered to her apt so she wants to make sure it doesn't get stolen.

I need to run errands and I teach an arthritis class at 5:00 pm so I'm looking forward to being in the warm water. I have my food plan for today and my Goal is to be kind to myself and learn to stop snacking.

Huge trucks on our block and I guess the house down the hill is having their entire yard landscaped. WOW---$$$$$$ I'm in AWE!! My research for car bushings is continuing. Lots of info and I'm better educated to ask questions. you Tube is amazing for education.

Hugs to all!!! A/C will run late this afternoon. YYYiiiipppeeeee!!!!

No PT job for me today - I get to work on two clients from home. I've got to go to the bank and then to a massage later. I need her to really beat up my poor neck. I'm pretty sure I need a new bed as the old bed is contributing to the neck knots.

I hope I have the sense to not work after I get home from the massage... LOL

Day off today. I plan to spend the day weeding and planting the rest of my veggie starts, and giving everything a good watering after. Maybe get a haircut, it's getting in my eyes again. And some minor shopping and batch cooking. And laundry.

Hmmm, sounds like a lot, but it isn't really. Only the weeding is truly time-consuming.

Hi, all!

Much as I'd like to open some windows, I can't stand the sound of the cicadas anymore! This is over two weeks now of their constant whining. It's a 17 year cycle and hopefully will be largely over in another week. We must have ploughed up the areas where we used to have a lot of them, because I haven't seen more than 1 or 2 here, but they are all around us in the woods. Really eerie.

As I predicted, my food intake is WAY down, especially on the carb and alcohol side. Lord, I hope I never find myself in a such a long-term stressful situation again. I got another good nights' sleep and slept in until I was ready to get up. Feeling really good today!

I mostly have light shopping and a couple of minor chores on my list for the day. Happy Wednesday, all!
