Older people are marginalized, and young ones are revered. Why?? I remember how stupid I was when I was young! Most of them have a lot to learn. I guess we all continue learning though. If I get more of what I was when young, hmm...more introverted? I hope not!

One of the most important keys to Success is having the discipline to do what you know you should do, even when you don't feel like doing it. - Unknown

An interesting thought about age making us "more" of what we were as younger people. I'll have to ponder that for a while. I was a fun-loving and fun kid, but I was stubborn as the day is long and kinda lazy. I'm still kinda lazy, though most people would never guess it. When my adult duties require me to do something I don't want to, I spend a good bit of time thinking through how to make the chore as simple as possible.

It works great in my personal life, but in my work life it makes me so efficient that the boss just keeps giving me more things I don't want to do! "Need something done? Give it to a busy person!"

I think it gets back to us never losing our inner children. We are always every age we've ever been. But that 5 year old seems to be the strongest one in the bunch. If she was neglected as a child, she'll make your life miserable until you make her feel better. (Okay, how many of you ate food for comfort, eh? Yup. That behavior never entirely goes away, does it?)

And if she was happy, but then life got harder, she'll always have that wistful sadness about her. (That's mine, I think.)

I agree Leone!! Attitude!! Positive!!

I’m staying in OKC w/my sister instead of heading to Jonesboro, AR. She stays in bed most of the time & her husband waits on her hand-n-foot.

I suggested I take over Friday & he take the day off. Please Angels—let me Age w/a fun attitude & let me hang w/younger people Amen!!

Yyyiiipppeee!! Hugs to all!!

All set up for a 48 hour trip to Arizona and Back. Gonna be a long, long drive. Here's to hoping and PRAYING that the goatie kids are quiet during the trip. There will be NO escape from them. LOL This will finish up the traveling goaties for at least a year! Next year, maybe will be delivering kids to new homes. I'm ready to be home for a while.

'They' say we just get more of whatever we were as young people as we age. So if you were negative when you were younger, you will get worse as you get older. I have been lucky to have some wonderful role models of what it means to get old. In my forties, I hung with a group of mixed age women from just younger than me to women in their sixties. They showed me that whatever your age, you still had dreams, desires and goals to accomplish. Just because I have wrinkles, does not mean I am less vital than I was in my twenties. In fact I don't feel much older or act much differently than when I was younger. If I didn't have mirrors, I wouldn't know I was old. Well, that and the aches and pains that come with an aging body. But the mind is still young! It is too bad that most of Americans do not revere and appreciate our old people. I often feel marginalized because I am old.

Hang on, it's going to be a bumpy ride.

Cooler today. High only 72. Was 87 on Sunday. But high tomorrow is supposed to be 59, and Saturday's high is supposed to be only 53! Brrrr! No frost, though, or anything close to frost, so should be safe to plant.

Volunteer at the elementary school this morning. Yardwork/gardening this afternoon. Maybe a trip to the library. I'm watering out front now. Will move the sprinkler in a few minutes.

Have a great day!
