Ugh, hope you got it done at a decent hour, Woubbie.

Congratulations, Debb! Wonderful news and what a great location. And fast turnaround it sounds like!

It was sunny and maybe 40 today, enough to start melting the 14 inches we got on Saturday. But guess what? A few more inches expected on Wednesday. We leave tomorrow for Arizona so I don't care, I just hope it's all melted by the time we come back (not likely according to the forecast but I'm hoping!).

Have a good week, not sure if I'll be able to check in or not.

Our local
Max's local
Max's Fed
Just finished our Fed and state- owe $675

Still have to help Max with 2 state returns

That's great, Debb! Sounds like all the house you need, if you live alone. My main requirement for a house is two bathrooms - or at least one and an extra toilet.

Happy Dance for Debb!!!! emoticon
YYYiiipppeeeee!!!!

Snow -- snow -- and more snowww!!! White & pure!!

I went to the eye doc this morning and he thinks the contact has removed itself. He deadened the eye and put in a new contact. He says that sometimes if there's a little piece of old contact it will be attracted to the contact (kind of like a magnet). Roll of my eyes!!!! He did say I've been digging at my eye so much the entire eye is inflammed but cornea not scratched. Breathe in . . breathe out.

I teach an AiChai class at 11:30. It will be a 'stretch' for me to work on that concrete in 98+*. The pool environment is HOT and moving slow---is very hard on my knees & hips. Challenge!

Once I get home, I'll rebound for a few minutes, work on the afghan I'm making for Charity raffle at Christmas time. I finished one and this one should be finished this week sometimes.

Hugs to all!!! I'm NOT shoveling. I'm going to trust Mother Nature to melt it and make life easier for all. LOL!!! My HouseShare wasn't happy that I didn't shovel but I reminded him that the shovels were right outside the back door. He trudged thru the 8". He & his son made a snowman in front of his car. He had a challenge to back out and then pull forward and miss his son's masterpiece.

YYiiipppeeee!!! My eyes can see--My ears can hear--my Heart is pumping---My lungs are filling and emptying---my arms & legs work--- I am a Very Lucky Woman!!! emoticon

Congrats, Debb! There's no place like home, there's no place like home!

We've managed with a 1500 square foot house with 4 people: only 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom (there's a WC downstairs but I usually don't count it as a bathroom). With just 3 of us now it's actually too big for us, especially the yard. DH keeps crabbing about the winters and moving South, and I'm like, "Send me a postcard when you get there." Yeah. Stubborn.

Taking a half day today. I went to Youngstown for Max's GF's flute recital last night and we didn't get home until after 11. It was lovely, as is she! Got to meet their rambunctious little cat finally! Quite adorable, but a biter, lol!

Still working on taxes, mostly for Max. While we were admiring the cat I had him round up all his forms. I'm just going to plow through the rest of it tonight. One fed, two state, two local, yuck.

Debb, a new home is a new home, and it doesn't matter the size! Congrats on your own space to be.

My name is Jeanne (pronounced Jean ee); I live in eastern Washington State.

WOOHOO! Debb. That is wonderful news. Living with someone else is so difficult and having your own space and your monster dog back will be heaven.

With Bob working on OPT (other peoples' taxes), I don't expect to see ours until October. Over the years, I only remember a time or two when he didn't file an extension for our taxes.

I worked in the garden yesterday--hoeing weeds and doing some needed pruning on a Hawthorne cluster. Lots of over inch long thorns--kind of nasty work.. Then cleaned the Cottage, did get a bit of reading in before falling asleep for an apparently much needed nap. Today I feel every muscle--and not in a particularly good way.

Cloudy and cool today with wind and more wind and more wind. I do not like NM in the spring! I am not sure if we will ever see normal temperatures again. And they will probably be the other extreme this summer! Just wish we could get some of that snow and rain giving everyone such fits across the country. Luckily we do have access to the acequia (fancy way of saying ditch) system with a 6th of an acre water rights--which takes care of the gardens around the house. If it is a dry year, the Pueblo has the right to limit our use which is why I plant drought tolerant plants.

Enjoy your day.

Pouring rain yet again today. But I don't mind!!!

I put in an offer on a house (near my younger son, the one holding my monster dog), and not only was it accepted, but it has been signed and we are now in contract!!! We should be in escrow today. By the way ...It is only about 1/3 of a mile from my son's.

Not big, just under 1300 square feet. 3 bdrm, 2 bath, but it will suit me fine, and it has a really good-sized back yard. Fingers crossed/prayers it goes smoothly. I will keep you updated.

Have a great week, Everyone!

Yesterday was beautiful! Sunny, high near 70. Everyone was out working in their yards.

Today it's rainy and windy and high in the 40s.

I meet a Congolese woman, Rose, this afternoon at the Refugee Center. She's been in the States about 5 months and works a split shift, so she's working both when the morning English classes are held and when the evening classes are held. I was asked to tutor her individually during her break in the afternoon.

Terry is over this morning putting the bathroom back together again. It will be nice to use my own bathroom! Though I don't think I'd taken any showers in the hall bathroom before, and it was probably a good thing to try it out. Works just fine, as I expected.

Mom and I both need to have blood work done either today or tomorrow. I'll call the doctor's office or maybe the lab and find out whether it has to be fasting. I don't think so for either of us. If not, I'll probably take her in when I'm done with Rose. If so, she says she'll drive herself. Which she can do, but I figure as long as I'm there anyway we might as well go in together.

Other than that, mostly just getting ready to have a dozen women over to play cards on Thursday. I need to get the house cleaned up and figure out what I'm going to serve. "Just a dessert" is what they decided, but it seems to get more elaborate each month. I'm thinking cheese and grapes (strawberries if they're reasonably priced) and a box of cookies should do it.

Hope everyone has a great day and a great week, too! And that everyone has her taxes done!
