Heidi, I missed something. Your last day in your house? I thought you had moved to a new house there in Alaska.

Debb, you'll be there soon to support your kids. They'll need you.

Connie, take care of yourself!

Oh, Debb. I hope his last few days with his kids are peaceful. Take care of yourself - I know it's gotta be hard being so close to being there, but still so far away.

Connie, I'm glad you went to the ER. Hope the bug passes quickly and easily!

Heidi, enjoy your weekend! The best is yet to come!

I'm finally winding down after a stressful work week. DH, Kyle and I went to a pinball/video game arcade museum/super arcade tonight and had a wonderful time. You pay a flat fee and all the machines are free to play. Ah, a trip down memory lane! So many quarters, so long ago!

I'm sorry Debb, it's hard to not just pick up and go to your kids.

Jeanne, watch the carb content in root vegetables, I love them but they're higher carbs.

It's chilly but gorgeous out so I went for a half hour walk for lunch and got an extra 10 minutes in on my way to work. I have no real plans for the weekend. I don't especially want to leave my house since this is my last weekend in it. I'm getting sad.

Debb--Energy to surround you. Hugs!

We spent 3 hours in ER last night. Flu test positive as well as bronchitis. I have all the meds & my Uncle is doing his best--but he's disappointed. I drove 4.5 hours to Tallahassee & collapsed onto the hotel bed. Breathe in--breathe out (literally). emoticon

Hugs to all.

Monster Dog and I went to the park earlier, though not for long. Glad I got out, however briefly... not been feeling my best the oast cuoke of days.

Spoke with my GP a few hrs ago and we are going to drop the additional tablet I have been on the past I weeks and see if I feel better.

That said, I know stress adds to this...

Dennis, my first husband and father of my sons, is now in hospice. What was initially viewed as respite, so our younger son could ready his house for dad to move in, has now - as of yesterday - been changed to "end of life care" where they exoected up to 2 weeks.

However, they called him this morning and said he will probably pass in the next day or 2, possibly today. I wish I were there to help support them. But it is what it id8. Thank God for phones.

At least he is resting comfortably and in no pain.

Thank you for letting me air things here. I really have no pkace else to go.

Hugs and wholehearted thanks for being here,
Debb

We got spring fever last week, but this week we are back into winter (going to be 9 degrees on the weekend--brrrrrrrrr).

I bought some strange vegetables yesterday--well, strange for ME. Rutabaga, turnip, beets. I usually stick to the green ones, but that seems to be out for me now, so looking for an alternative. So far they are pretty good. This is making me stretch my menu.
