My choices would have been so much worse, so give yourself some kudos.

20 years on low carb (for diabetes) and I still find myself gobbling a candy bar or a bag of chips in the "i forgot my food' situations.

There is no such thing as the final success in life. What is really meaningful is the courage to face the next minute, the next hour, the next day.

I think you did great! If you're planning to keep low carb as your preferred way of eating there will still occasionally be situations where you don't have great choices, so you have to settle for.....good choices.

one of my favorite songs is an old country song. and your post reminded me of it. you need to just "pick up a shovel and dig another well". Just keep moving forward, forgive yourself.

Instead of being ashamed of yourself for 'forgetting' (we've all done that at some time), pat yourself on the back for making the 'best available' choice and not just throwing the whole day away.

Shame has no place in our lifestyle! :-) Just make the best choice and move forward. You did fine~!

I have been doing so well and then....BOOM. I forgot my lunch today. I am going to be here for 16 hour, so I have to eat. My only choices at the café were fried fish and chips, chicken parm, or turkey/cranberry wraps. I chose the wrap, but took the tortilla off. I am so ashamed of myself....
