It was very hot, raining and muggy today.
Avoided outdoor activities today.

Had dinner at a friend's home tonite.
She made a killer salad topped with shrimp.
It was a wonderful evening and stayed on track.

beautiful day here. the meteorologist is threatening that it may get up to 36 degrees Celsius early next week. that's ridiculously high for our neck of the woods. hope it doesn't get that hot. it's about 22C now. that's perfect.
i want to bbq everyday, but, we are out of propane and my dh hurt his back and hasn't been able to get a new tank. i could do it, but, some days i feel like i have to do everything around here. emoticon it gets boring.
time to go out and play with the horses for a while. happy wednesday everybody.

I'm having yet another great day.
This is becoming a good habit.
Do I want to gorge on the wrong foods?
Am I human? Duh!
What stops me?
I like being thinner and feeling great.
I don't want to give that up!
It isn't worth the consequences.

Just checking in, on vacation in Branson, MO and having a wonderful time. Let the kids sleep in this morning. DH and DS are going golfing this afternoon and DD and I are kayaking and maybe getting pedicures. Food has been OK but I have had some off plan food too. This has been such a good time away, we needed it.

There are times, Debb, not just days but times, when checking in is a huge thing to do. Sounds like you're in one of those times. Glad you checked in.

Glad your hunger is back, Selenity!

It is a different lifestyle, Connie. An entirely different way of looking at the world.

Just as I got to the airport I got a call saying that my 8:30 flight out of SLC was tentatively scheduled to leave at 11:00 instead. The very nice agent at our tiny little airport changed my reservation for me. I now have a 6-1/2 hour layover in SLC and then go direct to Indy instead of going through Atlanta. They don't even give meal vouchers anymore! Cheap airline, anyway. Cheap as in stingy that is, not as in inexpensive! Oh well. There are definitely worse airports to be stuck out. There are long corridors between the different wings (I know that's not the right word but can't think what it is) with windows all along one side. Most of them give a nice view of the mountains beyond the runway. And for some reason I packed my computer AND CORD! in my carry-on instead of in my checked luggage, so I can sit here at a table looking at the mountains with my computer plugged in. Could be a whole lot worse!

I boiled spagetti to serve under my tomatoes, garlic, red pepper, olive oil dinner last night. I'm sure it was the pasta that caused my stomach discomfort. LOL! It was yummy!

I cut back all those shrub, raked, bagged & dragged back into the garage.

My new neighbor came over to sit & chat so I would rest. Her life style is a new education for me. She and all but her mother, are on SSI, food pantry dependent, father of one of her children was just released from an institution that was punishment for something. The house is always full of people coming in and out with lots of vehicles that are held together with duct tape, loud music, and loud voices. It's a different life style.

I worked 80+ hours a week to feed my boys, pay the mortgage, real estate taxes, yadda yadda yadda . . . so it's hard for me to see people hanging around all day and night with no intent of finding a job. I guess it's a culture. I offered them money to work for me to mow, cut shrubs, plant flowers, weed, do some heavy lifting for me and they all but laughed at me.

So, I'm rather lost as to how to deal with the manner of talk, behavior, etc. The two older sons age 9 & 11, come over to sit and talk and are well mannered and behaved. I'll keep my nose out of their business and keep my heart open so I can learn.

In another hour I'll attempt to mow for a 15 minutes. Maybe 20 minutes. That should do 1/2 of my yard. I may even take a nap. Laundry is on the line. YIPPPEEE! Life is GREAT!

This morning I woke at 3am and started playing WoW... just made my first fat fast recipe. WOW that was good. I was going to do a strict fat fast but have decided against it because - for the first time in 6 days - I was actually hungry. I am stuffed right now, though. I had 2 packages of shirataki noodles and I made fettuccine and added habanero cheese 1oz and 3oz chicken because I just felt that would really help make the dish.

It... was... delicious!! That has to be the best tasting alfredo I have ever had! My lips and tongue are still burning from the habanero and my tummy is stuffed. Now I just want to lay down and take a nap because I am so satisfied for the first time in nearly a week... That fat fast may not be possible now that my appetite is back!

Maw, please focus on your breath today! Hugs to surround you!

I have my 'to do' list for today. It's mostly outside work & I'll have to break it down to 15-20 minutes a hour. I'll change from shrub de-elevation to mowing to protect my wrists and shoulder. Baby steps . . it's an adjustment to doing until it's done. Versatility and adaptability.

I slept well but woke up with a stomach ache. Now it's glasses of water and release of poor stomach that has to work hard to continue to digest food that just sat there over night. LOL!

Ready . . . set . . . gooooooooooooo! I will clean some spinach and boil eggs for a wonderful salad for lunch. Eggs, I have eggs . . . tomorrow I'll shop at Aldis and pick up more veggies. Today . . .. . eggs, romaine lettuce, and cheese.

I'm pretty sure I'll get a phone call to ask me to teach a 9:00 class. I'm practicing to say, 'I wish I could, but I have plans that can't be changed." Why???? So that I can get my yard work completed before it gets HOT. I was given this day with cool non humid weather so that I'll be seduced to play outside! How can I say NO to that opportunity????!!! YIPPPEEE!

I do teach tonight and that will be a perfect end to fun day!

Set the alarm for 4:45 this morning (is it even morning at that hour?) but couldn't sleep anyway so got up about 4:00. They reduced the number of flights in and out of here from four to two to reduce the average weight time in Salt Lake City, which is the only airport flights go to. Haven't figured out how fewer flights reduces the average weight time, but that's what they said. Between that and eliminating the direct flights from SLC to Indy, they've made it a much longer day for me. Oh well.

We live on the edge of the Snake River Canyon, which is a huge deep canyon in the middle of the flat land. They literally tied the covered wagons at the top and lowered them down on ropes. I can't imagine having the fortitude to cross the country in a covered wagon. Or by stage coach or even the early trains. Leaving before the crack of dawn and flying to Atlanta to get to Indy sounds much better to me!

Have a great day everyone!
