I hope to one day soon be able to just "know" but I'm still in the early stages and like Vhalkyrie said, they are a useful tool for me right now.

I did better yesterday and I hope to be back in ketosis tomorrow. I did lose 1.4 pounds this week so I guess I'm getting the hang of it!

The keto sticks can be useful when first starting out so you know how certain foods can affect you. I don't use them, but I think they can be a useful learning aid until one gets comfortable with the way of eating.

I would focus less on those sticks and being in ketosis. Just eat low carb and accept the scale. It is easy to get obsessed with numbers, but it needs to be easier. Watch your carbs, but just eat plenty of fatty meat and eggs.
People get all wrapped up in percentages and other minor details. Keep it simple.

I will! UGH! I just realized I'm craving some kind of cracker/carby snack! O.M.G. This is crazy! I haven't had cravings in about 2 weeks and now this! Great lesson learned, though, and it's best that I learned it during the summer because if it had been during the school year I may have given in to temptation. Fortunately, I don't have anything carby here...whew! It's eggs and meats for me today - and some squash,,,I'm going to really try to do better with veggies this week!

Try to stay at the low end of carbs today (near induction level if you can) and see if that is enough to get you back in keto by tomorrow.

Well, the stick was tan. Big surprise, right? I'm glad to know. I did spread them out over the course of the day - I think. (I am going to check the details in a second)

My SparkTracker has me at 86 grams but my loseit tracker has it at 97. The differences are in the peaches...I can't be sure which one is more accurate.

I'm going to be more careful today. Thanks for the info!

I depends on whether it happened all at once or not. I try to stay below 25g per meal. If you had 30g 3x per day will only have a mild effect on ketosis for an hour or two after a meal. If you have 60g in one meal, however, it might take a day or two longer to get back into keto. Doing this too many days in a row may require going through induction again.

It will throw you out in a couple of hours or at least it does for me. How many carbs did you have? For me if I had about 75 carbs I'd may get pushed out of ketosis but by morning I'd be back in it, definitely by monday.

I get my Ketosis sticks at Walmart there 7 dollars for 50.

I've eaten way more carbs today than I have since I started low-carb. I didn't mean to do it; but it happened and I'm going to try to use it as an experiement.

The stick has been pink since the first week. I'm going to check it tomorrow morning. If I ate the extra carbs today, will it throw me out of ketosis immediately (tomorrow) or does it take a day or two?

I don't like to check too often because the sticks are expensive but I'm thinking I should check tomorrow and Monday.

Does anyone have any experience with this?
