Not a bad article, at least there is the distinction between natural and processed fiber. And it encourages people to read labels carefully and do their own math.

I read that, too, meh. There was, however another link to go to on the page labeled "the Truth About Carbohydrates" That one will set your blood boiling!

It's OK to just say no.

Grading on a curve, it's not a bad piece emoticon --that is, I managed to read the thing without growling out loud, not often the case when Spark addresses carbs. The advice to discount (rather than wholly subtract) fiber from total carbohydrate might be more applicable to a diabetic than someone doing LC for weight loss; at any rate, it's not all that likely to cause trouble for most dieters. And at least it mentions the added ingredient issue, though for myself I'd have wanted a focus on types of fibers and those things manufacturers are allowed to label as fibers though they are arguably not indigestible. Maltodextrin, for one.

The Fiber Menace followers might have a different opinion...

there's some stuff that in my opion is incorrect like how they count net carbs is really off from what I know.
