Low carb friends has a great recipe for a breakfast pudding made with flax seed, ricotta, and an egg. You have to cook it slow and keep stirring or it scrambles the egg, but it is worth the few extra minutes -- It is very filling, and really good. I add a little SF vanilla torani.

Try adding ground flax seed to what you eat. It gives you added fiber and it helps make you feel full.

Thanks everybody! I haven't had any "issues", but I noticed on my tracker that I am WAY below the recommendations. Good to know I don't really have to have it!

Every body is different and I need extra fiber. When I eat bread I don't usually need it.Also if we want to get to the nitty gritty, it keeps my hemorrhoids under control.

I agree that if you get enough fat, enough veggies and enough water you probably won't need more fiber.

I think we have to remember everyone is different. If I don't have a daily dose of flax I am plugged up!!!! So I have learned what works,,,and I do it!

For over 2 million year people survived on animal meat and some plants and nuts. No fiber suppliment needed. Just because some nutritional guide says you need lots of fiber, does not make it true. If you have enough fat, you will have no need of fiber.

I have not been eating that much fiber either, but have noticed since I stopped eating bread that I "go" every day now. I had been having issues with constipation for years, and was beginning to wonder if I had irritable bowel or something. Now I wonder if I have some kind of gluten sensitivity...In any case being regular is a nice side effect of low carb for me!

Just a note. I get cramping and diarrhea with flax seed. Everyone's body is different so you have to find what works for you.

Fiber count for everyone is different. I personally don't keep track of it because I don't have any problems, but if you do need it flax seed is high in fiber. As liverightnow said mim

What should fiber be on a LC diet? I was just thinking I'm low too. Although I have not had any "issues" thankfully.
