Lucy that is awesome!!

Thanks so much Kris! It could always get worse, I know, but none the less it was very yucky and I'm glad (sooo glad) to see the back of it :) I want to end the year in a positive bang, and never look back :)

I've had a weird Monday - got up and going early and walked the dogs, of course. Did my cardio and then got a phone call from my academic advisor. Little problem with my financial aid but it's fixable - and in the course of discussing the fix, I learned that I'm only SIX classes away from another master's degree. Oh yes, now I'm seriously considering it!! Eek.

As far as my eating goes, I have had a great low carb day so far. Had a huge salad for dinner (cracking up at Debb's U-less post!) and had lots of freggies. Going to try to go to bed early or at least before the evening chocolate urge hits.

Bearclaw, I had to read your post twice - that was hilarious!

Woubbie,

What Ren Faire do you go to? I work at one every summer/fall. This past weekend is the first one I've not working in the last 4 years (I've got the "smuck" that's going around). I work out in Holly, MI at the MIRF.

Happy Monday to All! My Oregon visit is so great, I can't even find the words!

Staying on plan, no matter what, and getting walks in too.

Very little time for the Internet, however.

There is a key on this keyboard that won't work, so yo'll see it missing, by the way. LOL

I just did a health assessment at work. They are offering a discount of insurance if I do the assessment. After entering what I eat, how I move and the numbers I got from my last physical, it assessed how I am doing.

The only thing it came up with was that my nutrition is horrible! I guess I eat too much fat and not enough whole grains! lol.

I just thought I would share.

October 2010: 345 lbs
October 2011: 215 lbs
October 2012: 215 lbs
October 2013: 251 lbs (Doh, time to get back on track)

Had one of those weekends again when I was so busy that it's actually relaxing to be back at work! Good times, though. The kids' band looked very good (for their first competition of the season, at least) and edged out their only opponent by a good bit. Long drive to get there though - 1hr 15min on unfamiliar roads.

Then yesterday was the Renaissance Festival. Dropped a ton of money and walked my behind off, but it was lots of fun. Glorious weather - Huzzah! Smoked turkey legs, mmmmmmm. Really easy to eat low carb there, lol! Man am I starving today, though. Had to have been all the walking and hiking - it's a sloped location with what amounts to trails leading up and down through the woods.

The boys bought more weapons this year. (Their friends have voted our house "the place to be for the Zombie Apocalypse". It's a dubious honor, but I'll take it!)

Well, back to pushing paper. Hope you all are having a great day!

Foggy this morning but the sun has arrived. Got our youngest granddaughter off to school and this afternoon will pick up our daughter's cat and dog as they are going to see their daughter in college. Max, the dog, loves our place as he can run and not have a fence.
Will be going to Costco for some fruit and fresh vegetables. I love to get the romaine lettuce there.

Back from a weekend camping trip with the kids. Kid-the-younger started the summer unable to ride a bike and ended the summer going on wooded trails for several miles. I think we have a new family activity! And, I learned that even waitresses at small restaruants miles from the big city will not even flinch when you ask for extra vegetables instead of the potatoes. Low-carb dieting has made it to the countryside!

An open house at my school this afternoon, and a reception tonight. Ugh. But I'm going anyway. Other than that, will try to get at least one of my chairs reupholstered, and will do a bunch of cleaning and tidying. I'm having 3 international students over for a casual supper "like my mother used to make for us when I was growing up."

Have a great day!
