I am starting C1 today, 3/26. Er - actually, REstarting C1 since I technically started last Monday but was horribly bad over the weekend. I feel so guilty about it, I wanted to cry this morning when I weighed myself and saw that I undid all my losses, plus gained a pound.

I need a fresh start! Question for the group since I'm new to the 17DD - does the morning lemon water have to be hot? Much easier for me to drink if it is cold. Thanks!

I am psyched to start today! I have a positive and hopeful outlook that this will be the break through I need. My mom completed the 17DD about a year ago and looks wonderful. I need to "reset" my eating habits and I'm hoping this will do the trick.
A few questions: I know Dr. Mike says we should have generous amounts of protein. Does this include protein powder? I am a very active person and I'm nervous that I will need more protein to sustain my energy level.
Also, does iced green tea count? It's too warm to drink hot green tea.

I don't seem to be able to stay focused! I think because I'm content. I'm the lowest I've been in my adult life, so don't have the "push" to stick with it. But feel like I could still improve 5 - 10 pounds and then go for maintenance. I'm usually great during the week and a little lax on the weekend. I am regrouping today to have a (hopefully!) compliant week. How about everyone else?

Hey ladies,
Sorry, I have been sick the last week. But I have been doing well with keeping the diet so far. The only thing I have been slacking on is the lemon water in the am and the tea. But for the most part still going strong. I have lost a total of 9 lbs so far....woohoo!!!!

The sweets is still what I crave for the most part. Trying to fill up on fruit in the morning and hope that holds me. I travel most of next week and hope to make good choices.

You are all doing great!!!!

DAY TWO

Breakfast: 2 egg whites, 2 tablespoons f/f cheddar cheese... chobani vanilla yogurt, 1/2 almond milk, 1/2 cup spinach, 1 packet of truvia, 8 oz of water
Lunch: Cottage cheese, 1 cup of grapes, 3 lettuce leaves, 1 chicken breast, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 2 tablespoons of celery
Dinner: 2 stuffed peppers -- just turkey meat, onions, cumin, garlic powder, a little chicken broth and tomato sauce.
Snack: Kale chips

I got really hungry around 3pm. I went to Walmart with my hubby and I thought I would get chips or candy or a soda! But I just got water and gum and that helped. The kale chips really give me the crunch I want from real chips... I can do this!

I worked out to HIIT 20 and Turbofire 30 today.

Day one...

Breakfast: Lemon water, 2 egg whites, 1 egg, 2 T of f/f cheddar cheese, a small handful of baby spinach, and an apple
Lunch: Cottage cheese, apple, 2 portobello mushroom caps
Snack: Cottage cheese
Dinner: 2 tilapia fillets, about 20 asparagus spears... they were skinny/small

It's 9pm and I'm definitely hungry. I have snacks for my husband and I want some.... I was going to make him a coffee drink in our frappacino blender, but I think I will be too tempted to snack.

And I worked out to Turbofire 45. And got my water in. I did try green tea, but I really hate it.

Way to go, ladies! I am feeling semi-human today. Yea! Will most likely wait to start fresh on Monday so I can enjoy the corned beef and cabbage I'm cooking for the family Sunday. Keep up the good work!

Back for day 3! Had a bit of a fail yesterday, I did not prepare for the day with healthy food so to avoid bad food I avoided food in general.....not smart, I know. Then my saving grace for the day was to be a spinach chicken salad from Subway after my son's baseball game.Would you believe they were out of salad bowls! It was10 pm and 15 miles from another restaurant so turkey on flat bread made the cut. I guess it could have been worse. I'm down 4 pounds today but I have about 60 to lose so I know that's the water...but I'm just grateful to see the scale go down instead of up! We can do this.....just stick to your guns girls!!!

No issues at all.... think it was a prequel to your actual C1......
Even i was fine till 9pm.... but then went to a friends place and her granny sat me down for dinner and i had to have bread or else it would hurt her.....
The main point is to be positive and not blow it all together ........

We are in it together and shall lose it TOGETHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where are the others and whats happening with ur C1????

Well, gang... I have failed MISERABLY this week. I can say due to circumstances beyond my control, but still...! First of the week started with a bladder infection and by Wednesday I was home sick and in agony with a sinus infection. Talk about being a wreck! At any rate... proper eating was the last thing on my mind, and I just made it thru with whatever tasted good. Unfortunately, for some reason none of that was very good for me (except the chicken soup). Wouldn't you think you'd be eating healthy when you're sick? Apparently not the case for me! I do better with starting any new commitments on Mondays, so I'll at least aim for then if not before. Sorry - I was so on board for a new commitment this week, but just couldn't hold it together!

Went for a spinning class and trained a bit for my half marathon....

faltered a bit after my workout with my food.... BOOO HOOO...

Back on track today !!!!!!!! excited to be on this diet!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, I had my lemon water this morning. Scrabbled eggs with spinach, mushrooms and onions. Some strawberries, blackberries and blueberries. Now, for lunch I will have 2 hard boiled eggs, greek yogurt with berries and my green tea. I am still having breathing problems due to allergies so getting in my 17 mins of exercise is going to be difficult. emoticon

We are going for sushi for dinner tonight to celebrate my daughter getting into PHD school. I have to make good selections.

First half of Day 1 down! Had 2 eggs with a tbs of FF cheese and a half apple for breakfast. For lunch I had a blackened chicken salad with crumbled blue cheese from Zaxby's. (minus the fried onions and Texas toast). I did have a half and half iced tea.....so I'm slowly coming off the
sweet tea. I'm from the south so this is a far worse addiction than chocolate! Now to make a grocery list and get some healthy food back in this house!! Fortunately for me my husband and kiddos are very good and healthy eaters...I think this change is going to make us all feel better.

I hope you are all having a great first day.....keep us posted!

Hi, I just found this thread....did ya'll start today?? I'm looking to jump on board..starting on Wednesday let me know where you are!! I did the 17 DD back in August and dropped 17lbs in 17 days. It really does work. Unfortunately I've gained back about 12 of those pounds. Good news is I've done it before and I know I can do it again!! It would be great to follow along with each other....the encouragement really helps!
