I am proud that I am still losing weight. I am also proud of starting my bachelor's degree in IT Engineering next week.

Life will be crazy but I can do it!

Today I am proud of the fact that I may be able to get back in line with the expected weight loss on week 8 instead of week 10.
My plan is to be at my goal weight by the end of 2016 witch equates to losing about 0.4 pounds a week. I have written down my actual goal weight for each week. I had a very bad week where I gained like 5 pounds... and at that point had decided that by week 10 I had to be in line. that means weighting 237.2 by then.

Week 5 goal was 239.2 -- I weighted 245
Week 6 goal was 238.8 -- I weighted 243.5
Week 7 goal was 238.4 -- I weighted 239.8
Week 8 goal is 238
Week 9 goal is 237.6
Week 10 goal is 237.2

So it's totally doable.. I CAN DO THIS!

that's very good! nothing like being totally honest with oneself to really be able to make changes.

I'm happy althought I ate way to much on Friday and Saturday, the day at La Ronde and the walks I had last week made it that I still have an average of 300 calories a day deficit. That means I am on the way to losing almost half a pound for that week.

Oh Grandefille,
That dress is gorgeous!! You are really a talented seamstress. The wedding will be fairy tale perfect when you are all done. What an ambitious project. I wish you the best.
I am proud that I have gotten my strength training in today and will be finished with my cardio this afternoon. Thanks for the eating tips. I stay away from white bread, pasta and potatoes. The sugar demon I have been working hard on. I am on day 13 of no added processed sugar in my diet. I will remember the veggies and the yogurt. I love yogurt with fruit. Keep up the great work both on your wedding and your diet! Take care and God bless, Deb

I have put one almost finished on the blog. I will have more when more Advanced.

As for being hungry, I would try raw veggies to curb that. Or pickles. I find them a great apetite cutter! Any fast carbs will make you hungrier. Try avoiding white bread, pasta, sugar, potatoes. that may help a lot with appetite control. Also try having a snack between meals that helps too.. a few nuts with some carrots, celery, or some plain greek yogourt with some fruits in it.

Hi,
The wedding sounds wonderful and I know that a lot of work goes into one. Please post your pictures of the dresses and the wedding on your page so that we can all check them out. I have not overeaten yet today, but I am within the upper range of my nutrition tracker. It will be close today. For some reason I am just famished. I am eating healthy though. I need to finish drinking my water. Maybe if I drink the water, I won't be so hungry. So I am off to polish off the last 3 glasses of water for the day. I am proud that I got my exercise in and was able to log 120 minutes on the fitness tracker. I wish you smooth sailing with the wedding plans. Take care and God bless, Deb

thank you Deb. I am doing good. had a bit of a relaps this past week but got it back under control yesterday.
I'm very busy sewing for the wedding, meeting with dj's, baker's etc. etc. I'm really looking forward to the wedding and the honeymoon.
I will try to get some pictures on this weekend. My first bridesmaid dress looks quite good. I am very proud of it!

Have a great day!

I miss the moral support that I've gotten from all of you. I am still around and well at this time. I am just keeping on with the plan and making the best of it regardless of my mistakes along the way. I hope to see you more often. Take care and God bless, Deb

I was at a friend's who had roasted salted soy nuts sitting in a dish on the coffee table. I'm proud that I limited myself to two small handfuls, especially because I find them as hard to stop eating as peanuts or popcorn!

Because this thread seems to have only myself posting lately, I've decided to quit coming here with my "proud-ofs". Instead, I may put them on my sparkpage or somewhere else I can think of.

Thanks for starting the thread Grandefille and for all your posts, and thanks Deb for yours too. It's been a slice!

I'm proud of staying within my calorie limit yesterday, even if it was sort of inadvertently. I'd added the foods up on paper during the day and overestimated something, so I expected to be over. Seeing the actual total was a nice surprise!

Last night, even though I had too many servings of a favourite food, I measured and wrote down the amount of each serving before it hit my mouth, so I'm proud of that honesty. I still overate, but now I have a better idea of what the amount looks like, which I hope will help in future.

Thank you Deb. Emotional and physical health seem to feed off each other, don't they?

Sounds like a good plan to check in with your psychiatrist and do what's necessary to stay on an even keel. And it's great that all the exercise you've been doing is paying off!

Yesterday I stayed well within my calorie limit for the first time in a while, which made me pretty happy :)

Ribknit, emotional health is just as important as physical health. After all if you aren't healthy emotionally, you certainly can't be healthy physically. Kudos to you for not giving into the temptation to isolate for the evening and having coffee, then getting to your support group instead!!

Today I am proud of getting a decent night's sleep. I have been having trouble sleeping lately and I could be amping up for a manic episode. I will have to check with my psychiatrist and see if my bipolar meds need tweaking for awhile. I am beginning to feel more fit and the inches are beginning to come off, so I am happy about that. Deb

Deb, you are doing fantastic with those exercises - you must be getting pretty fit by now!

Yesterday, having felt pretty good emotionally most of the day and gone out to run errands, I had to fight a sudden urge to head home and stay inside all evening doing nothing. Instead I took myself for coffee, then went to a meeting of a support group I belong to. I'm proud of that because, although it did nothing for my physical fitness, it did help emotionally and when I'm in a good headspace I treat my body better too.

Everyone sounds as if you are all doing well. Congratulations on the victories, big and small. Deb

That's wonderful! It sounds like you've instilled some good habits that are working for you even without tracking or checking. You're obviously doing a lot of things right!

Yesterday I made air-popped popcorn with olive oil and salt, instead of microwaveable with all the trans fats etc. And today I tracked yesterday's food even though it was over my calorie limit and I didn't want to see the truth. I'm trying to get back into regular tracking, even if it means pencil and paper. I was away from home so long this winter that all tracking went out the window.

Well, I've had a couple of not great weeks, both mood and weight wise, although there were some good times too. In any case, today is a new day and there are things to be proud of!

First off, I got up today before my alarm clock. Secondly, last night I chomped on celery instead of junk when I had trouble getting to sleep. So I feel not bad at the moment. Will try and be more consistent on this thread in the coming days.

How are things with everyone else?

You both have good reason to be proud! And I think it is better to face the results of our actions instead of hiding from them.. Getting on that scale even when you know it won't be good is a great step. then going out for a walk is even better.

keep going!

Grandfille congratulations on losing 2.8 pounds. Great job on watching that sodium. It can really screw things up.

Ribknit, sometimes we take a half a step back before we take two steps forward, so don't get discouraged. It's nice that you have a friend to walk with and you did do some good for your body if your legs are sore. I like that kind of sore too. So the good news is very good news!

I am proud of myself today for walking 2 miles. I have upped the ante from the mile that I have been walking, so that I can hopefully do a 5K sometime this summer. I should just join the Spark People's 5K Your Way Challenge again. I started it last year and got sidetracked by life. It was a great day for a walk!!

Grandefille, it sounds like you're back on track, especially with the sodium - that's got to feel good :) Today it's my turn to feel full of water and sh** (my own fault of course). I couldn't agree more that "when you don't eat right, your whole system doesn't work right either".

Today I'm proud that I got up my courage and stepped on the scale. Bad news; I've gained weight and it's my own fault. But there's good news too; I went on a lo-o-ng walk with a friend yesterday to the point where my legs are sore. A good kind of sore :)

that is great! a step at a time!

I'm proud because yesterday I managed to get to my calories burned before going to bed! I drank lots of water and didn't eat so much sodium. I was curious and got on the scale this morning.. down to 246.2. that is a 2.8 pounds loss in 1 day. I was full of water and sh***. when you don't eat right, your whole system doesn't work right either!

Great work Grandfille! Knowing your own limitations and strengths is what this is all about.

I am proud today that I did my stretching, crunches and lunges. I took a resting day from the exercise of the day because I don't have a foam roller. I did a 10 minute video instead. I am slowly working my way back to my fitness goals. Deb

Grandefille, great effort! and you will do fine.

Ribknit, I know how hard it is to get out and about when you are low. Fantastic job not isolating and giving in to stay home.

Today I am proud of doing the exercise of the day and playing with my grand sons. I took the time to take the time to pay extra special attention to the kids today.

Grandefille, I love your attitude! If you adjust and keep going, things will always turn around. And for certain none of us are perfect - and that's just fine.

Deb, you truly are on a roll - I admire your energy and perseverance!

What I'm proud of is that yesterday I made an extra effort to go out and meet friends last night, even though I was feeling kind of low.

what I am very proud of this week is that I had a bad week food wise and didn't go crazy about it. I started the weekend eating junk, chocolate, then had chinese then had Poutine with smoked meat. really not a good week. Lucky for me I managed to keep my calories intake lower than my burned calories. I have learned that I am not perfect but that I can adjust and keep going. THAT is what I am proud of

we're all on a roll!! I am proud today that I cleaned the kitchen and made brownies for my grand sons after I went out for my 30 minute walk this morning. I also did my strength training for 30 minutes. I did a modified exercise of the day since I don't have a bosu ball. I just did regular planks for my exercise of the day.

You guys are both doing great
Thank you for the ice cream tips too; I'll keep them in mind.

Yesterday I walked around town a little while doing a couple of errands, instead of driving. The sidewalks are still pretty icy, so I'll be walking indoors the next time. But at least the snow is starting to melt!

congratulations to the both of you!

I' proud I am making my calories spent in a day more often then I used to. I am getting close to have an average that meets the goal. Got my average steps a day over the 10000 that is y goal got my average minutes in physical activity over my 1h05 minutes goal. left is getting my calories spent in average over 2930calories and my consumed under 1930 a day.

All in all with my mediabody I am able to really see what I am doing and I can see better the ittle improvements I make. I am aiming for a 1000 calories deficit a day to lose 2 pound week. So far I lose about 1.6 pounds a week wich works with my average deficit of 819 calories.

As for ice cream, I always have some in he house. I make sure I measure what I eat of it and track it. I am now a lot more aware of what exactly it takes to burn 200 calories. It helps being reasonable.

I'm and emotional eater too, so I can relate. Good work not eating all the ice cream. Your core values came through for you. When I crave ice cream, I go out and buy Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwiches or one of the other Skinny Cow products. That way I can have my ice cream and eat it too. They are only about 130 calories per serving, so they do well as a dessert or a snack without killing your diet.

I am proud today that I actually got out of the house and walked for 30 minutes yesterday and made my 10,000 steps for the day. I am in the process of resting between my stretches and crunches right now.

Congrats on the breakfast Deb
I'm not a breakfast person either but maybe someday we'll both get into the habit!

Yesterday I went grocery shopping. I craved some ice cream and bought it. I also bought some low-fat yogourt. Last night I ate part of the ice cream and threw the rest out. Now I have the yogourt in my fridge, which is good.

I'm not proud of buying and eating the ice cream, but am proud of not eating it all, and that at least I brought the yogourt home as an option.

(As an aside, I see that emotional eating was involved, so will be paying more attention to that.)

Thank you Grandefille and thank you Ribknit for helping to keep me motivated. I'm proud of myself because I had a balanced breakfast this morning. It's hard for me to have a good breakfast daily, because I am so not a breakfast person. Today I had what I cooked for the kids, scrambled eggs with ham and a little cheese.

Thank you Grandefille!

Some days it's hard to find something to be proud of, but if you look hard there's always something, even if at times it's "got out of bed today". Thankfully those days are rare, although at one time they were not, so I'm very grateful for the life I have.

I'm proud that last night when I felt lonely I didn't go directly to eating junk food. I did eat it, but for dessert instead, after saying to myself "you need to have protein and vegetables first".. So I at least balanced out the junk with something healthy.

Every time I take a bite, I make a choice.

I may be gone a day or two, because my Dad is having heart valve surgery tomorrow. I will be at the hospital. Be back after I'm sure that Dad is okay and mending. Take care and God bless, Deb

yeah I did track my exercise. It may be the only one this week so i'd better not miss the tracking! Yesterday and today I am still tired and need more sleep but that shoveling was worth it! I don't feel worse than I did before

I hope that you tracked that shoveling on your fitness tracker. I am committed to continuing my efforts with the exercise of the day. It has been good for me to have that daily goal. I went for a mile walk this morning. It was very chilly, but invigorating. Good job, Grandefille!! Deb

I danced my way through my house work this morning and bundled up the baby for a mile long walk. Did my crunches and lunges too. I took the day off from the exercise of the day because it involves a gym machine today. I needed to take a rest anyway. Deb

Good job Grandefille! I am continuing to do the exercise of the day as well as my usual lunges and crunches and often another video, as well. Drinking all my water too. Deb

Any day that I stay within my calorie range is a victory worth celebrating. Do something nice for yourself, Ribknit!! Today is a day off from the exercise of the day because I do not have a foam roller yet. I think that I may be able to make one from my pilates mat. I am going to try it and see if it works, if not then I will do a video of some sort. I have done my crunches and my lunges for the day. I am trying to stay on track with my calories too. I did yesterday, but went over in some of my categories like cholesterol, which is not good. I will do better today. Have a fun trip, Ribknit! Take care and God bless, Deb

You're really doing wonderfully with all the exercise - way to go!

Yesterday I kept below my calorie limit despite many stresses and preparing for travel, so I'm proud of that.

Have fun on your trip out of town, I'll hold down the fort while you're away. You're doing great staying within your calorie ranges and with the exercise. I exercised for 46 minutes yesterday, I did my lunges and crunches this morning and hope to get in at least 30 minutes walking outside today. It is cold, but clear and is supposed to be sunny soon. Wow Deb, you continue to do great!

Yesterday I stayed within my calorie range and walked around town doing errands instead of driving. It added up to about half an hour of decent walking.

P.S. I may not have consistent computer access for the next week or more (going away) but will check in when I can.

Excellenty work, Ribknit!! I have been doing my exercise of the day the past ten days or so and keeping up with that regimen. I have stayed within my calorie range and I have done my lunges and stability ball crunches this morning. Deb

I'm proud of staying within my calorie range again yesterday. I have also lost a pound since a week ago, which is ok with me!

Yesterday I did *not* go out and buy the bad-for-me food that I was craving.
