One of my favorite 10 minute exercises is playing with my 20 month old sheltie. He gets me running and kicking and throwing a ball to him. It gets my heart rate up as well as his, and it gets me using leg, arm, ab, glute muscles.
When I am done I track the time with "Playing with the kids", since he is my kid with fur.

Sad to say I am the one who does the shopping and I am forever bringing him home junk. Not so much for myself but for him...I gotta stop doing that.

You're lucky on the nutrition side... mine appreciates when I shop & cook healthy, yet still buys junk food to bring home when he hits the store. (fortunately for me, he & I have very different tastes when it comes to that stuff, so I typically don't crave the junk he brings home!)

He is very supportive in the dieting, getting bad food out of the house, cooking healthier (he cooks most meals at our house) but getting him going is another story. He talks a good talk but doesn't walk the walk. It's frustrating! emoticon

I can relate to that... my hubby tells me that he wants to be more active, but then he always has an excuse why he can't join me. I'd love to really get into it w/ him one night, explaining that "excuses" are what got me to almost 300 lbs. before I started this journey, but it would only lead to an argument... and it just ain't worth it!

I wish I could get my hubby to join me on nightly walks, I don't want to go alone so I rarely go.

I have started going for 10 minute walks after dinner. Most nights I just walk around my apartment complex with my sweetie. It gives us a time to really pay attention to talking with each other, aids in digestion, and gets my exercise in. My dad swears by short after-dinner walks and I'm starting to agree!

I am going to use the "exercise tv" programming on comcast's "on demand." There are some really good exercise catergories there. I will let you know how it all works out for me.

I "multi-task" to get in 10 minutes of exercise several times during the course of the day.

While getting ready for work or preparing meals, I'll do calf raises, squats, lunges, anything that I can fit in.

While chatting on the phone, one of my fav's is wall squats, along w/ the ones listed above.

During television shows, I utilize the commercials to get in a full body workout. I do triceps dips, bicep curls (if you don't have weights, use canned goods), crunches, pushups, leg lifts, hip raises, and any other exercises I can think of. I choose a different exercise each commercial, and do as many reps as I can from the beginning to the end of the commercial break.

Basically, anything you can think of... just to get yourself moving! (and yes, CDPURCELL, your shoveling is one of the best workouts there is! and it's on the fitness tracker here on SP)

What do you guys do for the 10 minute exercise/per day goal? I have this listed as my fast break goal, but do not know where to start. Jog in place for 10 minutes?
