The range that is listed on here is set by Sparkpeople and "created" specifically for you based on the amount of weight you want to lose, the amount of activity you plan to do, and your current "stats". It's considered a healthy range for you to lose weight w/out depriving your body of the calories & nutrients you need.

If you should happen to increase your activity level quite a bit, you should re-evaluate your calorie level, because you probably will require more calories!

(hope that helps)

It must be specific to your goal because mine is 1250 though 1610 or something.

The calorie range that is listed on the nutrition tracker, is this the range you need to reach your wieght loss goal, or is it the healthy range?
My range is 1200 to 1500, does this mean to lose weight i need to consume less?
Confused!
