Hi Aegishot....I suffered a plantars fasciatis event which has stopped me cold now for a few months now I have not been able to walk much less run for very long......it is miserable and so disappointing...wish I had been more attentive to conditioning, stretching afterwards and good shoes....thanks for your sweet response....you are such a doll...Hugs

My suggestion is three things:
FITBIT One or FORCE to track steps, mileage and activity levels
PACE heart monitor with wrist watch to track heart rate and development and last but not least TWO pairs of reall good running shoes....use alternate days....your best equipment choice is to visit a really good fitness store and have them test your gait and choose the right shoes based on your pronation etc. It will be the difference between getting fit and running well for life or facing injuries and repetive injuries that can halt running AND many other sports or enjoyments even basic walking......I wish I had done this when I started running a few years ago.....I did not get good enough shoes and am now trying to heal from a lengthy plantar's fasciatis condition which takes forever.....good shoes for my weight and gait would have made all the difference....good luck and enjoy the sport...it really does help your heart, body, mind and spirit....
