I am using the time to walk and to jog but go longer than 25 -27 min.

If you feel up to it you can skip. But for me I love living by the rules (a little legalistic you say!). It will not take so much time or effort doing the remaining days since you are a moderate exerciser. All in all, do what makes you comfortable and happy.
