Another thing that works for me is my workout DVDs. I take time to watch it, taking note of every move and this jolts me back to my feet most times.

Hi Harrington, Thanks for the suggestion. I am just now starting to read blogs from other SPARKS members and I agree that it does help with the motivation. Sounds like you are doing great with the program. Keep up the good work.

Sometimes it is hard to get motivated, but once I get out there, I am always glad that I did. I have a bad knee and have to wear a brace, so it isn't easy, but the more I do, the stronger I become and the better job I do on my next try. I find the Spark motivation blogs are a good way to get me going. I read about people that have overcome more than I could ever imagine and that makes me stop being so lazy. But, like I said, the more I push myself to get going, the more I want to see how much better I can do. Try it, you might like it. Good luck.

Find a 5 k and sign up for it. If there are any running stores in your area see if they have a run/walk program.

This is the third time I am attempting the program. Although I have been working with trainer two days a week in the gym for several months now, I have not followed through on my attempts at this 5-K program. My trainer says I need to do cardio to loose the weight. What has worked to keep you going on the program?
