Thanks!! Before, I was not stretching before or after my walks. Not stretching is most likely the reason for the pain. So now when I walk, I try to remember to stretch before and after. I even keep a resistance band at work and in sight so that I can stretch. Away from work, I do remember to stretch...And oddly enough, it is always on my left side, never the right... emoticon emoticon

I know the pain you are talking about...I stopped running for a week, but the pain kind of goes to my knee, hamstring and thigh on my left leg. My right leg is good as can be. Its feeling better. I use the muscle rub ( icy hot ) and my grandma who is a nurse recommended Anacin which does help but I do not want to keep taking it all the time. I also tried the KT tape and surprisingly it worked wonders. All it does is support the area where you have pain. I was hesitant but it worked for me. I also have an ACE knee brace which helps too. As you can see I used alot because the pain was bothering me alot!

We will get through this!!!:)))))))))))

I think you need to rest it a lot.

Do you cool down and stretch after each activity? It will be good to start now. If the pain does not subside then you can try an ice pack on the spot and let us know how it goes.

After walking and resting, I sometimes feel a pain in my upper thigh, almost like a pulled or strained muscle. Isn't there stuff I can use to ease that pain or at least wrap my leg so that the pain is not overly unbearable?? Most of the time, once I start walking, the pain subsides. I dont like the smell of the rubbing stuff and I am not too sure about the patches that they have come out with.....
