I really know how you feel. I too have problems with my knees, so I went into exercise with a different way. I was inactive for almost 3 years. Since I had pain in my knees, I went into the pool and started with exercising in the pool and increase the amount of reps as time went on. Then I brought in some strength exercises and started slow and my knees started to feel better. I also went into the steam room followed by the sauna. This heat also made my knees feel better. good luck with your knees

Hello C25Kers! I just completed my first ever 5k around my neighborhood and ran the entire thing!!!

I'm very proud of myself, but at nearly 100 pounds overweight, my knees are taking a hit. I have a fluid feeling around both knee caps after pushing them too hard.

I did speak with my doctor before starting the program. Should I return for a consult? Any recommendations for treating them?

I suck at stretching...
