You are making the right choice. Papers before races. Just keep training AS IF and another race will come agin soon. Hugs.

When I first started this, I thought I might be biting off more than I could chew, but I wanted to challenge myself. I work and go to grad school, so my schedule is packed. I just realized the race I was training for is the Sunday before I have 2 papers due. I hate making excuses, but I need to be realistic about what I can and can't handle.

I've decided to compromise- I'm going to keep training (this week got away from me, so I'm going to do next week as week 3) and try to hit my 5K in the gym over spring break (a few weeks after the actual race). I'm frustrated with myself but I'm going to try this.

Lowest weight: 185

Trying to recuperate from deep depression and the 40lb gain that accompanied it. Every day is a struggle.
