School, summer, life--everything seems to get in the way. In truth, it's me that gets in the way. I will continue to start over with week 1 as many times as it takes to move forward.

I have tried this sort of walk/jog training before and always kind of checked out after the first week. I've made it through week 2 this time and have been fighting that "can't do it!" voice in my head every time i get to the 3rd run of the week lol. I'm surprised at myself for even sticking with it this long. I'm going to push myself becuase i know i CAN do it. I've improved my mile from 22 mins last week to 18 mins this week!

I started walking a month ago and actually jogged a little (VERY little!) yesterday. My daughter loves to run and is a great motivator. I signed up for a 5K Color Run with my whole family (husband, me, and 3 young adult "children') on 10/6/12 because it looks like fun. I hope this will provide me with a starting point so I can look back someday and know how much I've improved.

Wow so good to see other people who have started this program. I need some motivation to get moving as it's not really my thing but I gotta loose weight and get ready to run a 5K in February. I know I will feel much better once I cut back the pounds it's just the hard part of starting and keeping with it. I hope the support of fellow 5Kers will keep me going!! Thanks for giving me some inspiration ladies!

Hi there. I have started the 5k Walk/Jog Program several times and didnt make it past the first week. So once again I am starting over as well. I have signed up for a 5k race with my daughter on October 27, 2012 so I need to get in shape because she can run it all and I want to be able to do the same. I did week one last week and started week two tonight. It was so humid out and I didnt run the whole time I was supposed to. I want to finally complete the program this time and hoping signing up for the race will help me do that.
