That sounds great. I just finished my 2nd day of training, and feeling really hungry, and I really appreciate these filling ideas. emoticon emoticon

I do a 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 frozen banana, and 1 tbsp peanut butter in my blender.
It's filling & tasty.

Keep trying! You will get there. It's hard work & determination that will get you there.

A marathoner gave me this tip: peanut butter and jam on half of a plain bagel before your workout. It's a perfect mix of carbs and protein. Afterwards, I make a smoothie of a T of flaxseed in the bottom of the blender, then top with, half of a frozen banana, a handful of frozen blueberries, four frozen strawberries (can be fresh, but I keep them in the freezer, makes the smoothie nice and cold), a handful of baby spinach and a cup or two of almond milk. It looks dreadful, but tastes great and you won't be hungry for a long time. Makes a good two glass fulls. If you aren't a vegan like I am, ice water or regular milk probably works. Another recovery is a banana and some chocolate milk.

What do you guys eat after your workout? I like to workout in the mornings after a small snack, but am always so hungry after my workouts. I'm not a huge breakfast eater, but I'm trying to change that..I need suggestions on wholesome, healthy snacks or meal ideas. :)
