DIANAS, at the time you asked the question, I'd just been part of this program for a couple of weeks. Now, I have a similar question.

I did my 5K on the treadmill in late July. Since then, I've done virtually nothing similar. I just returned after spending nearly two weeks at our state fair. I did a lot of walking, no jogging, no wall pushups, not much else.

I'm thinking I should go back to week 3 in the initial program to restart. Any ideas or suggestions? I'm really feeling the consequences of not being active -- not really weight gain, but just of not moving and being out of sorts. I'm in this for the long run, so don't want to overdo my return, either.

Sherry

How about looking at the 5K Your Way Running Program? I haven't looked at it yet but assume that it's more intense.

You can also repeat this program. If you are jogging a full 5k when you finish, try jogging your normal pace for the walking portion and running faster in the run portion. You can help yourself go faster and hopefully improve your time every 5 weeks. :)

I am just wondering, is there any suitable training programs to do once i finish this program? Most 5 k programs start off at a little more advanced fitness level. I'm just afraid that i will quit after i finish this nice program and that's something I don't want to do!

I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day.
