Oh, I agree completely with wildhoneypie. It isn't just republicans, it cuts across the whole spectrum of voters. The only way Brown could have won is by getting a whole raft of democrats to vote for him, too. So that says that Americans, across the board, are just sick of the games that Congress has been playing. It's OUR money they've been throwing around, not the governments. The government HAS no money! SURPRISE! Those poor, misenlightened entitlers have been sucked into the lie, believing that the 'government' will take care of all their needs, basically by making the 'Rich' pay for it all. There are only so many 'Rich' people (defined as: People who work for a living) And if you take away all their money who will be left to pay to support all the slackers?

No, it's time for America to return to fiscal responsibility as a guiding tenant. And yes, the republicans have to accept some of the blame, maybe at least half. When too many are milking the same cow she will run dry. Let's hope we aren't beyond the point of no return.

Term limits is the answer to ALL our problems! If they weren't worried about (and focusing on) their reelection campaign, they would get down to the business of actually running the country.

Two terms maximum, regardless of office. Then you're history!

Vote ANY incumbent out!!! If they were "republicans" in the first place, we would not have had the mess from Bush! They are part of the problem! Anyone else GONE, GONE, GONE!!! Even if they are new they can not screw up things more than they are now, and we need to get rid of the entrenched "career" pols!

I agree with you Wildhoneypie. The Dems will now try to move to the center and all the Rino's will become more conservative. Like someone else said it is all smoke and mirrors. The best thing to do still, is to replace them all in 2010. We need more Scott Brown's to step up and run.

I think any Republican, other than Brown himself, who tries to take credit for this election is woefully naive. This win had little to do with the Republican party, and everything to do with the tea party -- the grassroots movement to get our government back to what the founders intended. It was definitely a referendum against Obama, Reid and Pelosi, but the Republican party has a loooong way to go before it can rest on its laurels.

The Republicans have to be careful and NOT get too cocky now with this MA win. They need to do the right thing and stick to the Conservative values. That's where they went wrong before. Becoming too progressive to try to please everyone.

I just responded (on YouTube) to the video, Open Letter To Democrats. One of the things I said to all the wack job comments on there was that the avalanche is rolling and gathering steam. Also, that this (MA election) was only the first shot fired. SO, it looks as though I am right. let's keep the ball rolling! This is OUR year. The democrats had plenty of opportunity to do something good for America, now their time is up. They accomplished nothing good (for the USA) and to use one of my mom's old expressions, "It's time to S__t or get off the pot."
