I think the first people that should sign up for this health care should be the House of Rep and Senate. That also includes the White House too. They should be on it two years before they make it so-called for our own good. No special treatments while they are on this health care and they can't make the people pay for it, it has to come out of their own pocket and not from the tax payers pocket.

If you tell God no because He won't explain the reason He wants you to do something, you are actually hindering His blessing. But when you say yes to Him, all of heaven opens to pour out His goodness and reward your obedience. What matters more than material blessings are the things He is teaching us in our spirit.

She acts like she's the queen of the world... and this stupid only passed by 5 votes... including 1 RINO... I wonder how many of those idiots that voted for it will still have their jobs next year?

The bright side of all this is the news from the Senate that this bill has basically NO CHANCE of being passed! Even Joe Leiberman doesn't like it, based on the overall COST, if nothing else. None of them seem to like the 'public option' either. So MAYBE there is hope us yet. It was so funny watching Nancy Pelosi dancing and prancing around when she announced the passage of the House bill! What a nimcompoop! To think someone (ANYONE) voted for her!

Anyone catch Boehner v Rangel on the Stupak amendment? Bunch of bs to get this passed through the house. Rangel called it "unethical" (pot meet kettle) to guarantee or even comment if the amendment will stay in the final bill.

They are supposed to represent and work for the American people and the American people are being ignored in this whole mess. Public servants? More like self servants.

The government owns banks, car companies, mortgaging and now it will be health care--and that's not socialism.

I know I'm preaching to the choir this AM, but I am just so disgusted and angry and, frankly, scared to death.

This healthcare bill is a government take over of our lives...not just health care but every aspect of our lives. Obama's presidency rests on this passing..so I'm sure the guy is frantic right about now.

I think what bothers me the most about this health care crap is that I look at my grandmother... she's now 86 years old... around 1998 or so she had both of her hips replaced and cataracts removed from both her eyes... they have been the only major problem she has had wrong with her in the last 25 years. She is slightly overweight (less than 20lbs), and is extremely active for a woman of her age... she can walk very well with a cane or walker... but she prefers a shopping cart at the local walmart or target or any store that has something she can set her purse down in and just gives her a bit of balance with....

now keep in mind she was around 75 or 76 years of age when she had all this work done to her....

and I can't help but think that if this health care bill had been passed back then... would she have received the same level of care? would she have been allowed to even have these procedures done? yes Medicare covered all of her surgeries... but my mom and I provided her at home support (she lived with us for about 10 months that year)

My nanna loves her life... she loves going shopping with her grandkids... and her great grandchild (soon to be 2). She goes to church twice a week and goes out preaching at least one night a week that it's decently warm. She lives by herself in the house she was raised at (her brother lives next door and they look out for each other). but before she had her surgeries she could barely walk because of the pain in her hips and upper legs... getting in and out of a car was nearlly impossible and she had lost all but the ablility to see shadows and light in one eye and was close to the same in the other.... if she hadn't gotten the treatment she did, when she did... She would have been forced to go into some sort of a facility? and my thinking is that she would never have made it to see her great grandkids.... and that is just wrong.

Here is some more good reading on this subject. I tell you folks, we've got to start jumping on our reps backs and MAKE them see what a crock of you know what these bills are. There are a lot of differeing opinion s flying around and allegations galore, but it all boils down to ONE BAD IDEA. All being pushed by our egomaniacal president. Whether he is a socialist or not, he is bad news for America. Talk bout huge mistakes!

I think those IDIOTS in DC make these bills so dang long because they know many/most of us do NOT have time to really read all of it and then they (who have probably read less than their constituents) will ram-rod it through.

WHO can afford this? And basically, it's sub-standard care for a hell of a lot more money. We can barely make ends meet with the amt we do contribute to from our current plan, and it's no where near as much as what their proposing.
