Anna good move on the honey drinks.

No I have my infusion tomorrow. Hope it helps - but the hummus has been a lifter so have some every day.

This heat is unbearable. I live in my air con and love it.....Only going out to get the laundry off the line.

Have a good day everyone.

Live well, laugh often, love much.

Far away in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.

I have been having my hot tea and lemon and ginger and have tried hot milk
with honey and cinnamon before I go to bed.

Seems a lot better today. I have to keep out of the air conditioning. I realised
that I haven't been taking my Symbicort so maybe that's why the air con is
bothering.

Georgia, did you get your infusion? I hope it is giving you a lift. Those people
in that area don't know any better. I hope you get that thick skin, lol...

I hope your husband's health is going to be good for you to travel Nola.

Anna sorry you have a sore throat. My 2IC had one yesterday too.

Nola this area and it's people are totally different to any where else I have worked. It is hard to deal with.
Yesterday's episode - an aboriginal lady walking past with 5-6 kids (one looked mentally challenged) and she was swearing at her and the other kids were picking on her and the language coming out of her mouth at such a loud volume was ultra xrated.

I am very slowly growing a thick skin.....or trying to.

Anna that would be good. At the moment we are still hoping to be over East in April/May for a big family celebration. Sadly we won't be able to make it to Qld. ......but it all depends on Dons health it is so up and down. This is the third try in as many years to go over...and the last two there has been a major health whoopsie. If we are here then I will definitely catch up with you. That would be lovely. Hope the sore throat doesn't develop any further.

Georgia it must be so hard to hold your tongue when you have those kind of people in your shop. They would be the first to report them if you told them where to go. No wonder you are so tired and down. We have even heard of the Logan Bogans over here. emoticon

Sylvia I hope all is going well for you. Thinking of you.

Waiting for the rain from the Cyclone which is a lot smaller/lesser than anticipated. I hope it by passes us.

Oh no Georgia. I can't imagine have=ing to deal with these bogans day in day out.
You don't deserve to be treated like this. I hope that you don't wear yourself out
emotionally.

Sylvia, I hope that you will get to Townsville with no weather complications on top of
your help problems.

Nola, my son is coming to Perth for a wedding in early May. If I can get a cheap flight,
I might come along for the experience and hopefully catch up with you.

Bugger, I now have a very sore throat after I thought I was OK from my laryngitis.
So over this.

Sylvia sending prayers and also a quicker than ever trip to Townsville and then home.

Susan glad the cyclone is across land and not as severe as we thought.

Nola I feel that is exactly where I want to be. Under the umbrella at the beach listening to calming waves.

Anna well done on the exercise.

I managed a 20 minute walk as per instructions to see how it affects my energy levels during a work day.

Yesterday I d 2 lots of customers from hell. One was bad as she had 3 kids aiming abuse at me. The mother had not control over her children.
It has left me feeling rather sick to know people like that are out there and have crossed my path. No wonder they are called Logan Bogans - because they are and even worse in my opinion. I never usually judge but here I am......
I apologise in advance if my comments have offended anyone....but it is what it is down here and quite a culture shock for me. Learning ways to deal with this.....

Oh Sylvia, I am so glad you were looked after by the RFD service and they found out what was wrong. They are wonderful. And hopefully the op will be able to be done maybe thrpugh an angiogram. Hubby had that done and hasn't looked back. Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Georgia, they say anticipation is as good as a holiday. I hope that is true for you. I so hope you can get the iron problem sorted very soon. Hugs!

Anna, you are a go-getter! Good for you, exercising and getting fit! You are leavinge in the dust! Lol!

The cyclone is a category 1 and has crossed the coast far north of Brenda. I think she is safe now.

We are south of Dongarra at another free camp for a few days. I am creeping up on you, Nola! Lol!

Take care, all.

Susan glad you are moving away from storm but not happy Brenda will be in its path. Praying.

Nola - all recovered from your amazing weekend?

but after tomorrow, I should feel better. It felt good to get up and go after so much laziness.

Georgia, yes, the weather can be quite changeable with a cyclone forming. Today it is overcast and blowy here. We travel further south tomorrow so will be moving further away from it. Brenda will be closer to it though, but the threat map is not near her yet.

I am keeping my eye on the BOM site.

You poor things in the heat and humidity! It is much nicer here (Seven Mile Beach) now though quite windy and apparently a cyclone is threatening to form 'way up north.

Georgia, I don't blame you for resting. You need to right now. No, Brenda and I didn't take a picture, so sorry.

Anna, you are having some real wins with your food choices. Good going!

Brenda, nice that you have a few Spark friends now. I hope your exercise plans go well.

I crafted today. I enjoyed playing with some blending techniques. I need to go for a walk tomorrow. Been sitting a lot since Christmas!

My weight didn't make much difference from the ice cream, thank goodness.
I went back to my circuit class after so many months and our instructor really worked us hard.
Felt so good to be active again.
I am going to the ultrasound institute to volunteer and I think they will check gallbladder.
It is early in the morning and they will give me a sandwich afterwards.
I really felt the heat and had a nanna nap today.

Another lunch today in Brissie. Had a fabulous haloumi, grilled chicken and avocado salad today. It hardly had any dressing and again skipped dessert.
Went to mum's and she had some ice cream and because I was so hot, I had some.
Feel like a big cheat. I had greens and a rissole for dinner, so tomorrow I will get back on track.

I hope you feel better soon Georgia.

I am glad I was not in Sydney today... So hot there.
Went to a lovely lunch and it was in her garden. Fresh fig salad with shaved parmesan,
roast pumpkin salad with feta and pinenuts and grilled garfish. I declined the apple pie for dessert and had a glass of Prosseco instead. I think I did OK.

Nola, so glad you had such a memorable day! Congratulations again and thank you for the nice feedback about my card.

I had a nice time meeting Brenda (tothefuture1) yesterday. Thank you for making that happen, Brenda!

A beautiful day today. Almost back to normal and my voice is almost back to normal, yay!
I hope you can find your answers Georgia. When I was diagnosed with thalasseamia,
no one knew it in the late 60s. One doctor told me to eat lots of offal and went back after a month to be told I now had too much iron and that is not good either. When I get tired i just try to slow down and I go and get a B12 injection every 3 or 4 months.
I'm sure that being in such a full on job, doesn't help you get your energy back.
I hope you get a good plan to follow.

Hi ToTheFuture! Nice to know you live in Geraldton :) We have been staying at Drummond Heads and I have been out exploring Northampton today. Tomorrow we have a few things planned as well but on Sunday we are going to camp at the free park near in Geraldton City centre. We will be traveling south the day after that. Could we maybe meet up on Sunday in the afternoon? Where would you like to meet? I will be walking from the camp area as we won't unhitch our van for an overnight stay :) I will need to know how toot recognise you too!

Georgia, I sure hope you find some good ways to supplement your iron levels. Maybe SP has some nice lists somewhere? I know pumpkin seeds are good for raising iron levels.

Richard thanks for the ideas but I do not drink coffee. Alas caffeine has influence on Iron absorption and is best avoided.

I like my chicken livers and have been having hummus (high in iron)

Next week see the dietician and the week after have an infusion of iron.

It is a struggle at the moment.

High iron is also a problem. We sure pick the ailments....

Chocolate-coated coffee beans may give you a lift
or
an expresso with a row of 70% cocoa chocolate
With low iron unfortunately it will probably require supplements, plenty of red meat and/or tabbouleh salad to help give your system a boost.

Good luck with all of this
Cheers richard

I have not felt so unwell or so tired. I am eating all the time to get energy (hummus, dark chocolate, and so on) - so my weight is not dropping but gaining. I think it is all related. Wednesday cannot come soon enough to see this dietician and get some better food choices for energy and hopefully weight loss.

Other than that all is good and work has certainly been entertaining this week with some rather uneducated bad mannered "people" (used loosely).

Hugs to all.

Day two of food tracking and I am finally getting into the mindset and fairly excited
at finding new recipes. Helps that DS is on board and I can cook the same food for
both of us.

It is quite hot again, but not as humid. It dropped to 20 last night and it was so comfortable.

Georgia, now you know and can hopefully get your energy back with the infusions.

Georgia, I am glad you have an answer. How did you keep going all this time? I sure hope the infusions start to work and you feel better soon. Hugs.

Joy, hope your transition back to work goes smoothly and you even enjoy it!

Anna, glad you got out even if it was to the grocery store. It's good to be able to get out and about, You will love it when that moonboot comes off.

Richard, Nola, and everyone reading, Happy New Year. May 2018 be a good year for us all.

We're in Geraldton now and will be here a few more days before heading further south.

Thanks everyone., Have not had the infusions yet. I will try one on my next day off. They take about half an hour but do not want to do it on a normal day in case it affects me.

Work is slightly quieter at the moment and I hope today is busier.

Hugs to all.

Georgia that is so low. You must have been feeling awful. I hope the infusions help. Have you had them before?

Went grocery shopping yesterday.
What a relief of the temperature last night. The storm delivered.

It has also been so hot Anna - this humidity is so draining.

Routine again which is good.

Iron levels 4% - no wonder I am exhausted all the time and so sleepy all the time. Dr told me I need to have iron infusions. Will go for one on my next day off as I do not know how I will go and do not want to be at work.

Have a nice day everyone.

Have been so bored stuck inside, and I went to the shopping centre to get groceries.
Back to routine for all of us. We wait so long for these 2 holidays, then whoosh, all gone.
Let's hope we all have a great year!
