I have used the gel on my hands and feet. I am using Voltaren gel now instead and like that a little better. I can not take any NSAIDS they put me into kidney failure. I have been on percocet for pain for several years but it is not as effective anymore. my Dr ordered a pain patch but my insurance will not cover it so I think he will try me on morphine. I have been fighting this for more than 25 years

My internist recommended taking turmeric capsules. They do seem to help.

I use the gel and it works better than many other gels to reduce swelling & pain. Have no experience with taking it orally

Yes,
My husband uses the Arnica gel for arthritis in his fingers and thumb joints near the palms. He finds is helps, but says it is nothing special. I also have used the Arnica gel on my arthritic knees. I don't know if it really works but is a nice change from other creams etc.

Arnica is a flower. and it was traditionally used in herbal medicine to help relieve pain and inflammation in muscles and joints. ex.: sprains, bruises, joint pain.

My Husband has now been finding that Turmeric capsules are working better to relieve joint pain.

You can buy them both at Costco

I had a nurse practitioner recommend it for use with (in addition to) NSAIDS. It's supposed to be easier on the stomach and kidneys to reduce pain--not the inflammation.
