My kids are all happy with their teachers, son is in 4th grade and daughter is in 11th. I am so glad that school has started. Yes, I miss them but they were getting on each others nerves and mine. I haven't been able to enjoy the time at home with out them because my dad is still in the hospital and I have been going everyday to pick up my mom and then we go to the hospital to see him. I had big plans of hitting the exercise hard and heavy but it hasn't happened yet. My dad may get to come home tomorrow. I hope so!

Glad everyone is having a great time getting school started! We start Monday and I'm in between not ready and really looking forward to it. I haven't made up my mind just yet....... I already miss summer break and its already over! Boo hoo! Where has the time gone? I just returned from Wisconsin last week. We took off for our last summer family fun trip just stepped back in town today. We're back to the grind stone with mowing lawns and getting things ready for school. Tomorrow night is open house for my 6th grader. Maybe when it starts I'll have some time to breathe? Maybe? Its been such a busy summer but we did get to squeeze in some summertime fun.

I have to remember to stop and think.

School is going gr8 for my kiddos as well. We are adjusting well to public school (my kids have been in a private school for all of their school life). It has been a good transition and they are making friends in the neighborhood. Mine will be walking home from school all by themselves today! My youngest just started Kindergarten this morning. I love living so close to the school. I can step on the back porch and watch them walk over to school. Glad everyone is having a gr8 start!

All did well, from the 3 year old Pre K, to the 4th grader, to the Junior (who has decided she absolutely loves history!!)

Even us teachers did well, although we were exhausted by early evening.

I call that the Springdale tax dollars hard at work. :)

Let the good times roll!

Sorry, forgot to add that I am feeling some anxiety about being at work when the children get home from school. Since Hope gets out before the older two, she is at home by herself for 30 - 45 minutes. I have always been at home with my kids before and I just am uncomfortable with this still.

My children all had a good day. Hope goes to Elm Tree (year-round schedule), so she has been in school for 2 weeks already. BHS parents attend the first day with their student. I have a pedometer on my cell phone and just from walking around that school, had almost 6,000 steps! Casey, my son, started junior high and I was nervous about it and so was he. So far, he loves going later and having more freedom. I just hope he can be responsible with the added freedom and increased expectations.

Just checking in with all those NWA parents out there to see how your kiddos did yesterday!

My boys did great! I was so proud of them. They are now walking home from the bus stop together (about 3/4 of a mile). My oldest remembered to call me and we talked while they walked, then the younger one got on the phone so I reminded him of the homework rule & sure enough, he did have a little homework. I left work right at 4 and got there about 4:25 to help little guy finish up the homework and we had a great night. WAHOO!
