Last day of January - I'll start our February Thread "this evening"
Looking back over our posts....... we have done very well - Congrats to all.

I'm starting my to-do list for February - several things need to be done in the yard.
AND of course the house is a never ending challenge.

I havenít checked in here for a long time, but nice to be back. Knuckles, so impressed. Photos are the most time consuming deal!

Iíve been pruning more than organizing this winter. I have a donation truck coming next Tuesday and am casting my eyes around the house and getting ready to send stuff out.

Thanks for being here and reminding me to get going!

I am considering putting my off season clothes in the wardrobe.
I also started organizing my upright freezer. I have been trying to not freeze a lot of leftovers by cooking smaller amounts. It is hard to cook for two. The frozen leftovers have more chance of being used if they are accessible and labelled in the freezer. Also some things should just be trashed!

Good for you knuckles !! I was the kid in the family that ended up with 4 generations of family photos - hundreds. I don't even know who some of the people are....
but I had 400 scanned at a scanning service - the files still need labeling.
Such a lot of work - hope it goes smoothly for you
I know how much work it can be
Whew!!!!

have restarted sorting through photos. got through three albums today. right now all I am doing it taking them all out of the albums and getting rid of the ones I no longer want. (which is about 2/3 of them). later I will scan all the ones I'm keeping and make sure to label the back of them all before I put them back into better albums. No, I'm not going to bother with scrabbooking. Don't have the patience for that. Only 4 more boxes of albums to go lol

I bought an antique wardrobe for $50.
It did not fit where I hoped it would but did fit nicely in the spare room. Yesterday I vacuumed and scrubbed it out. It looked clean but the water was very dirty. I am still deciding what to store there. I am considering my off season clothes (summer in the winter and winter in the summer. Now I put them in the basement in a tote. So far I have hung my dresses in it. I very seldom wear dresses but like them and today I am keeping them. We will see what the future brings.

I ordered a larger medium size shredder from staples. My smaller one stopped working, this one shreds in the smallest size papers possible & shreds CD's & credit cards, it is made by staples and has a 3 year warranty. I paid $200, reg. $300 with free shipping. If I get it I will do shredding the remaining week. Suppose to arrive Wednesday afternoon to my apartment, no pick up.

I'm trying to pack for a short 3 day trip - leaving tomorrow AM.
I am always stressed about packing.....yes even just 3 days !!!
I always take too much out of fear that I will forget something.
Sheesh it's not like I'm going to a 3rd world country........going to AZ (Grand Canyon) to celebrate birthdays with 10 friends ) LOL
===========================

I'm back from my trip and had a wonderful time....but did take too many clothes !!! LOL
My big mistake was packing in a large tote bag and I should have taken my small carry-on suitcase.

Glad to hear you are better Knuckles. So far I have been very lucky and have only had a dry cough. I have so many friends who were really hit by this flu or cold or whatever it is.
---------------------
I am addicted to my Kindle Reader and the battery has started losing power, so I treated myself to a new one. It was cheaper than the original that I have had for years.
Big Plus,
I was able to activate it and to load all my books and apps.
So far it works, I need to get used to the look and feel of it.

Hope everyone is having a good day.... emoticon

Hi All, Thank you for the Spark Goodies for my Birthday - I had a good day celebrating.
I went to the Big International Travel Show at our Convention Center and saw tons of things for traveling. Heard some amazing speakers and got some good ideas for travel.
------
I went with a friend and we both enjoyed the show.
She took me to lunch and we each had a delicious Fish Taco !!!

We worked on the store room in the basement yesterday. My husband let go of a big pile of clothes that he did not like or did not fit. Today I am back at the Christmas decorations, toys, and the storeroom. It is - 34 C so won't be hard to stay inside.

Wednesday already...... the house looks very nice and clean after the cleaners left - now just need to keep it that way.
Went to lunch with friends - our weekly Lunch Bunch and then went to yoga class.
So, it feels like a good day emoticon (we've had lots of rain here - and we sure need it)

Happy Monday really feels like the start of the year for me today.
Went to Yoga class that had not been meeting during the holidays..
The class was packed - everyone starting the new year with an exercise class. LOL

------
Now I'm picking up the house and organizing because the cleaning lady comes tomorrow - hasn't been here in 2 months because she was traveling.
So, I'm looking forward to a nice clean house tomorrow.

This is not a happy message for me to write. But after leaving one team on December 31 that I was a co-leader of, I've found that has not freed up enough of the time I spend on Sparks. You're a lovely group of people, but I've decided to leave 2 more teams. Not because I don't find them interesting, useful, or rewarding. Just because to meet my 2018 New Year's resolutions and goals, I must cut back. I probably will peak in every so often to see what you gals are up to and get some extra motivation! Bless you all! Yesterday I treated myself to a new haircut - had about 7 inches cut off into a short bob - my problem is that I don't know what to do with it. I need to learn how to dry it with a brush and do a few spots with the curling iron.
It looked great last night when I got home from "Supercuts" - but today after a shower and shampoo........ I have some learning to do. LOL

But it does look better than the long stringy salt and pepper hair that I had for years and just put it up in clip or ponytail and forgot about it.

I must admit that the new haircut does make me feel better - just need to master the styling part

I'll post a picture soon.....
