Good idea, I live in a apartment, some apartments have sales, mine does not. If I know someone that can use the item, I gave a expensive microwave, converter oven to my sister & Dad who live together, I paid about $150.00 for it new 3 years ago, there's stopped working, I also gave a 4 slice toaster to my nephew, he has 2 kids who want toast at the same time. I was given it before. I bought a small toaster oven new for $20.00 on sale. Later possibly I will see about a larger oven, it's made by Panasonic. There is a thrift store I volunteer at that donates all money, about $45,000 a month, (there prices are the lowest in this area) , now to our local hospital, non profit that I give other stuff to & clothes I donate to a women's center that has free lunches, free showers & free laundry services that puts it to good use.

I have pleurisy, 3 types of anemia from Iron, folic acid, other vitamins not working, chronic pneumonia, pleurisy, chronic kidney disease, a partially collapsed lung, low blood pressure & blood clots in both lungs for 3 years..I am 55 years old. I had cervical cancer 6 years ago, no signs last 4 years as well.I am on P.S.T. time zone.

Not too long ago, I was focused on cleaning out closets and the clutter in cupboards. I gathered things from all over the house. Most of these things were small items that I really didn't need but were too good to just throw away.

Going off the premise that one woman's junk is another woman's treasure, I decided to have a yard sale, hoping that I could pick up a little extra money while also decluttering my home. But I hated the thought of organizing and pricing everything. I really didn't want to spend much time doing that.

The solution that I came up with was AWESOME and I ended up earning almost $300 at my yard sale. I didn't price many of the items but put big signs out that read,

"Unless an item has a price on it, it's $1.00"

You wouldn't believe how excited people were and how intently they checked out the items I had for sale!!!! It ended up being a total success and a super fun day!!

I think the Dollar Yard Sale will be an annual event at our house!
