Beth, Try not to get frustrated. May I suggest that you decide how long -- maybe a week, or 2?-- and take a break from it. When the break is done, start small. Perhaps just one drawer. Take a deep breath and see if it feels good to continue. Or another idea might be to take advantage of a new month tomorrow. Whatever works for you. Hugs.

I deep-cleaned my kitchen microwave. After 45 minutes, it went from speckled to spotless!

today was a low energy day. but i went through some of my clothes. i cleaned out clothes in my drawers, and my closet. i clothes that i did not want to keep went in the donation bag and the items taty were a bit small i put in the basement. so i was putting it off for a while but i got it done and i know i may want to get some new exercise shorts, but otherwise i have plenty of other clothes.

Another 5 kitchen cabinets done inside & out and 3 drawers. Spent an hour yesterday vacuum-ing, hand-washing and hand-drying sunroom floor. Hope to finish that later today.

I haven't been by for a bit, but thought of you this morning when I realized the fronts of my kitchen cabinets needed a wipe down. Will be on it a little later!

worked more in the yard, sanded my side gate (wood) and will try to paint it tomorrow. The paint has been peeling off forever and it has looked terrible....so maybe paint tomorrow.
I also went on a great walk this evening with friends - we did over 4 miles and time went by quickly because we were talking so much LOL

2 more kitchen cabinets done and the section of the counter (and items on it) thoroughly cleaned. Replaced toaster - old one is on way to Lions donation. Plan to today to do the drawers in that section. And would like to get back to the masterbedroom.

It's a good time of the year to stay inside so that's where my projects are: (1) started on major clean of masterbedroom, Spent 2 hours in the last few days decluttering a corner and tackling the mess of jewelry that was spread all over the top of my triple dresser. (2) because I'm an "early bird" I needed another project to work on while hubby is still asleep, so I chose the kitchen. Now, 4 hours later, I've cleaned out 4 cabinets, moved, vacuumed and washed exterior of refrigerator and floor behind, and reorganized and updated inventory of cabinet contents.

Although I haven't been reporting here on a daily basis this July, I have been busy. Tackled the den as an easy project, since it's always the neatest and most "minimal" room in the house.
But it felt good to get it in the best order possible. Spent 13 hours washing walls, window, curtains, floor; polished wood furniture; cleaned TV, media player and each CD. Decluttered and got rid of 2 cd's and 32 items from the secretary desk. Also inventoried everything in the media cabinet and the desk.

Rearranged furniture to bring in a wingback chair from the family room. Now the question is: do I get rid of the cushioned rattan chair that was in the corner where the wingback is now? Think it looks a tad oversized for the new corner.

Yay! DEN is done! On to new, more challenging projects.

WOW it is HOT HOT HOT here. in the high 90's and I don't have AC....but do have fans going. I just got out of the shower and feel like a need another one. LOL

I always clean the shower and tub while I'm in there - wipe everything down and try to remove all the excess moisture..... makes it easy.

Now I'm sitting in front of a fan and going to relax and read for a while.
Happy Saturday to all....

I decided to declutter myself, and am starting bullet journaling. I have a huge amount of note books I use for various things (from thought journaling and health journaling to poetry and to do-lists), but I want to turn a bagful of notebooks into a single one, so I researched and prepared for it yesterday. (And for the sake of not adding to the stack of notebooks, I chose one I was already using.)

Today I plan on going through important paper and put some of the clothes into the baby wardrobe instead of having it in a box in the living room.

Love from Sweden,
Noah

OMG did I overeat the the big family 4th of July party. WOW
I did well with the BBQ dinner - just chicken and salads - but then there was a whole table of desserts.
I lost my mind......
Oh well, back to the drawing board.

Yesterday, I sold the golf cart that I wasn't using and de-cluttered and organized the community lake club's storeroom of unwanted decorations. Those are in the back of mu car. Today I will add a few things from my house and then drop them off at a local charity.

OK, the partying is over. Back to working on getting my house in order. Did wash the venetian blind, screen, window and 2 pairs of curtains in the den. And spent an hour scrubbing gutter, windowframes, door & brick siding in the front. Today I'll spend more time in the den (also touched-up a marred spot on the wall from using sticky "glop" under the barometer). Rearranging furniture. Not sure what else the day will bring.

My holiday party doesn't begin until at least 6:00, so I'm home purging stuff from the house.
Made a lot of progress in the computer/sewing room, laundry is done and put away,
Patio table and chairs are all hosed off and wiped (boy do they get dirty).

I decorated my front yard with about 10 flags and have my patriotic banner hanging from the eaves. I'm pooped and it is HOT HOT HOT again, so I'm almost ready for a nap LOL

Completed washing lower walls of den & moldings. Dusted sunroom. Worked in vegetable garden. Changed the Spring decor to Summer in the sunroom, with all Spring items put away in basement. Summer decor still needs valances to be sewn - 10 of them.

Hello Team! Happy July 4th weekend! I've been reading Marie Kondo's book, "the life-changing magic of tidying up". I have not been following ALL of her recommendations, but she has helped give me some inspiration to start getting rid of the clutter around the house. Last weekend I picked one box that I would go through - throw away, donate or put away the items in the box. This weekend I chose one small area in the master bedroom to do the same thing. It is nice seeing the progress. It is just one small thing, but I am able rationalize that the goal is possible, when I complete the goal I feel good about myself, and it move me towards more success with the next weekends little goal!!

Happy 1st day of July!

After a trip to the farmer's market and then more food shopping, and everything put away, I was ready to start major cleaning in the den. Got all 4 upper walls & chair-rails washed using a damp microfiber towel and a piece of "magic eraser".
