Was introduced to a great free app for iPhone. "map my walk" I'm new to iPhone, but loaded it on recommendation of walking friends.
It maps/records how far you walk (shows map), how fast and time spent.
My walking buddies have it and last night after over an hour trying to master how to load an app,
it is on my phone.

Spending most of morning outside before it heats up later this week. But I already finished touch-up painting the 10 windows in the sunroom, One task accomplished today; more to go!

Dag Nabbit - My car is still messed up. Tonight the ignition made that exact same noise that I thought was fixed today. Need to call the mechanic tomorrow - sheesh, I paid almost $500 today for a new starter ..... I hope he figures out the problem and gives me partial credit on the new/original problem.
.......
Good news - talked to him and he will fix the problem and return $$ if new work is less.
Great guy !!!

Very Very Hot here in Southern CA. WOW !!
Got my teeth cleaned....
Then had to take my car in for repair (very expensive) I needed a new starter engine.
So to kill time I walked - a crazy thing to do in the heat.... but I did it.
I figure I sweated off some lbs.
I walked for almost 2 hours - did go into some AC in a couple of stores - but WOW
I was nuts to walk in that heat . I just saw the weather and it was about 100 degrees.
I also now have blisters between my toes!!!
------
Really enjoyed a nice long shower when I got home.

KNUCKLES145: emoticon You're so funny! I can totally relate.

Yesterday was just general housekeeping. Today I'm painting again in the sunroom, paste waxing the exterior of a stand-alone cabinet, doing laundry and weeding gardens. Whew! That'll do it for me!

Happy Father's Day to all the Dads in our families !!!
I was up early to greet the cable TV repair person - had to have help getting my new remote to work correctly.............don't know why they make it so difficult emoticon

It is going to be another very hot day here and I need to put on dressy clothes to go to the park to usher at a play.
Thank goodness the theater is airconditioned!!!

PS: The Cable Guy commented "Gee your house is so neat and uncluttered!!!" Guess he sees some messes when he goes out to do his repairs.

It is getting very hot here in Southern CA too. Temps are predicted to be well over 100 for the next week.
I don't have AC - because 99% of the time I don't need AC or Heat.
But the weather guy said it is going really HOT HOT HOT and of course we have a huge threat of brush fires with all the dry crispy vegetation and the heat.
-------------
I just finished my laundry and it is all put away. Did have a problem with lots of lint on the dark stuff and I need my black slacks for Sunday for my ushering at a local theater!!
Guess I'll have to get out the lint roller and some tape.

PS forgot to add that today the Dalai Lama was in town and spoke at the University. 25,000 people..... hot weather.... no shade... blazing sun. But it was an honor to hear him speak. He is an amazing man.

Got a lot done today.
Went to quilting at church group and got a couple quilts layered and ready to go.
Went to knitting with my group at the Senior Center - always fun and loved to chat with those ladies.
Finished by dog sitting duties - the owner is home from her trip - ahhh feels good to have that done.
Walked over 4 miles around the bay tonight with friends - beautiful evening, but UGGG the traffic getting there was horrible - took be almost an hour in thick rush-hour traffic.
Now I'm home to relax.

Today I'm going through my entire wardrobe and getting rid of anything that is too big or that doesn't bring me joy. It's quite a task!

I'm also cleaning my entire closet. I have a walk-in, and things tend to get stashed there if I have nowhere else to put them.

Quite a big task ahead of me on both fronts!

Purged 'much' and all necklaces but two ......Retired 5.5 months ago and have no
use for it any more so have a large bag I am taking to St. Vincent de Pauls.
Already cleaned out my closet, and got rid of most all my professional clothes.
Now organized with active wear and non cluttered!
Cleaned my drawers and got rid of unnecessary 'stuff!'

Vacuumed family room, stairs and main living areas yesterday, plus 3 loads of laundry - the never ending task! I also did a quick clean of the bathroom.

Today the plan is for church this morning and then finishing up the laundry. We head to Great Wolf Lodge tomorrow for an overnight. Then more laundry when we get back. emoticon

went thru my pantry cupboards and pulled out all duplicates, things I don't need - all unopened and I am taking a big bag to the local foodbank. I need to be more careful what I buy and not load up on "sale" items.

Sunroom north wall painted 2 coats and south wall washed to prep for painting. Another 30 minutes cleaning kitchen refrigerator. Off to Lions Club this morning to set up for weekend tag sale.

YEAH!!! my yoga teacher is back from a long trip - I was so glad to go to class this AM. This is 1 of the 3 yoga classes I go to each week.... have a different teacher for each class - makes it interesting.
Met a friend for lunch and we went shopping for some things needed for our dear friend who is moving to a memory care facility this week. So sad, but we are getting her new things she will need.

Kind of a lazy day for me......lingered over reading the Sunday Newspaper.
Tried to use vinegar to dissolve the lime deposits around faucets. One was successful and the other didn't work.
Now have discoloration on brushed nickle faucets in the kitchen....grrrr

But did have a bit of good luck. In cleaning the dishwasher, I found the plastic lid to my favorite thermal cup - thought I had lost it and found it wedged into the silverware basket in the dishwasher.....so I consider that success !!!!

Yesterday I went through old letters and cards and what not in my "treasure chest" and threw out what I didn't feel like keeping (mostly Christmas and birthday card) to make space for the future masterpieces of the child I'm expecting. Today i plan on going through a box or two with random things out of the 5 waiting where we're going to put the baby bed once we've cleared out the corner in the bedroom.

Love from Sweden,
Noah

I ran a couple of miles, made breakfast, grocery shopped, cleaned out the van partially (will finish tomorrow), bagged some stuff for Purple Heart to pick up, put away winter clothing, walked 3 miles and made dinner.

I did dishes several times, folded 2 loads of laundry then washed. dried and folded a third., tried a new recipe for lunch and then made a late dinner for my son.

One load of laundry done. An hour spent on cleaning kitchen refrigerator, but not done. Best of all, cleaned out small cabinet in sunroom and sorted through old issues of "Cooking Light" magazines. Saved 46, but getting rid of 68!

Took our 6-month old chihuahua Jasper to vet for neutering. He was supposed to be groggy when we picked him up. No such luck. Couldn't sit still for 3 hours when we got him home. Now he's asleep on my lap.

Nothing like the annual visit from the state social worker to get your butt in gear to finish putting the laundry away. Lol

New foster dog is pushing his limits and making messes around the house. Of course it didn't help that I had a stomach bug and he didn't get his walks. Young smart dog found ways to entertain himself. Luckily nothing important ruined by his chewing etc.one of my silk plants is looking a bit bedraggled though lol

June is a good month for new and renewed starts.

Happy June! I've been doing little - 15 minute decluttering. Instead of walking past that pile of books - again - I put them away. Instead of complaining about the cleaning supplies that don't have a home and are taking up space in the laundry room - I moved them into the spare room in the basement. These little one-offs have been paying off big by clearing my mind of the clutter!! Off to a great start this June!!

WOW - June already.
I fell like I did well in keeping the house and garage "decluttered" and I also purged a lot of stuff out.
I have gotten rid of so much "stuff" and not once have I said "oh gee, I wish I had kept XXX"
So, I didn't really need it. I'm really simplifying my life and home and it feels great!
