love yourself as you are now -even if things are chaotic and disorganized. we learn to appreciate it and learn from it. if we only look ahead we miss the moments now.
i read somewhere that someone says they make a list and then pick a few that are the highest priority. Even people who have it all together have their slip-ups but they accept it and keep moving.

LACOYTA - I agree with others - we are all seeking what you desire. I think there ARE ways to attain the goal, little, by little. Let's see:

"My dream is to be that woman who has it together. Is total package: beauty, fit body, great outfits that look as though a stylist created them, organized, with a beautiful home and the most amazing time management skills. Can someone give me some tips?"

Here is where I am on my journey. I watched an exercise video of a fit 20 something woman demonstrating yoga exercises with ease. I thought, "I want to be like that - I want to have that energy, that strength, that fit body". So....what do I need to do to get there? First - I have to recognize that I will probably never have the body of a 20 year old ever again - I'm 47. But...what can I do to get more energy? For me - I need to get more sleep. This means - get to bed earlier, no alcohol (I don't sleep well after even one glass of wine), drink less coffee (caffeine after 11am keeps from a good night's sleep). Ok - a better body -- eat clean! Less, junk food, less processed food, less sugar. Start enjoying healthy whole foods every day!

Stylish - I really need new clothes and don't know where to start. I think you first need to find a company that sells clothes that fit you. For a while I could get the perfect pair of slacks at Banana Republic, but for some reason they changed their cut and they no longer fit me. I now need to find a new company that sells slacks that are a good fit for me. I think once you find that company, you buy a few items that you can mix and match in to different outfits to wear throughout the week. I'm still working on this one.

Time management skills - this is one I'm constantly working on - trying to get the perfect fit. Again, I don't think there is a perfect organization system and I think you have to find what works for you. I've tried Franklin Covey system, Getting Things Done, Levenger systems, personal journal and most recently the Bullet Journal. For me - I needed a paper calendar - something I can see all in one field (could not seem to do this with electronic systems), but my Levenger notebook just seemed too bulky to carry with me back and forth to the office. I carry a Moleskin notebook where I write my almost daily journal. What I found is that I would write some to-dos in my journal, but then would not reference them again so....I am planning on combining my calendar view with my Moleskin journal in a Bullet Journal format. I just started this yesterday - figure I can test it out for December and see i it works for me.

Okay - I wrote way too much, but your post really resonated with me. Hope others share what works for them.

Happy Sunday everyone!

That's something we all wish we were, but I don't believe there is such a perfect person. They may seem like they have it all together, but we don't know what their lives hold. I will settle for being a little bit more organized and a little bit happier with my body and clothes. But that is up to me and how much effort I put into it. Nothing happens without our work.
