When it comes to organizing there are other this that need organizing and cleaning as well. For example your pc also needs a good once over once in awhile.

What I do is organize my yahoo mail account. as well as my pc.

I organize my e-mails by using filters and folders. I also use folder icons on my pc so that way I can organize my files better as well.

I will give a few tips on how to do this.

First of all I'm starting with over 6,000 e-mails in my inbox.

I'm not going to be able to organize every single e-mail address today but I will show you how to get started.

step 1 sign in to your e-mail and then find a e-mail from someone you want to keep organized. My first one will be dollar general I will open it then tinker around in there.

Step 2 Once e-mail is opened there will be something saying "... More" click that then "Filter emails like this" once that is clicked it will open a pop up box saying "Add filter" "Filter name, from, to, subject, body."

Step 3 filter name should already be there which would be "Dollar General" and then there will also be "From" and this will be the senders email address. And then on the bottom it will say folder and normally the inbox is selected.

All you need to do then is click to open the folder area and click new folder and create a folder called local stores.

The reason why I call mine local stores is because I can put the dollar general and dollar tree and walmart all in the same folder since there local stores. And it keeps me from making multiple folders.

You can do the samething with sparkpeople emails. Make a filter from 1 sparkpeople email and all the emails from sparkpeople even teams and such will all go into that folder.

But its only the new emails that arive after the filter is made.

If you want to move emails already in your inbox and put them into for example the dollar general folder all you need to do is open a dollar general email and hover over the "Dollar General email address" area and then click on "Search Emails" and then a new message area will pop open and will only be showing the dollar general emails that have already arrived. You can click on each one or click on the check box on top and then move all of them at once to the local stores folder.

You can do this with any email address. I have a sparkpeople folder set up so that I never miss a email. And once a new email appears in the folder it will show a number for the unread emails. Which I find handy and cool. You can even set it up for recipe websites and fitness siites. For example if your signed up for 5 fitness websites why not put them all together in a folder named fitness. And so forth. That way when a person sends you a email that you normally don't get emails from there rite there in the inbox. All neat and organized.

I know this is a long winded post but I hope it helps.
