Cleaned another bathroom drawer. Three loads of laundry in and out of the dryer. Two loads folded and in the baskets to be put away. One more to go.

Breakfast for visiting grands! Referigerator repairman was here. Lawn guys were here fertilizing so my DH can keep mowing which he loves! Everything is looking lush. Picking homegrown tomatoes. Yum!

Knuckles- It's only the first day of June so you have plenty of time to accomplish something!

I made a little tiny zippered bag in my sewing class yesterday, that's only big enough to hold a USB stick, but it's big enough to help me keep track of the USB stick. It has a ribbon o it and a split key ring so I can put it on a carabineer. We did them inside our 4 X 6 or was it 8 inch embroidery hoop. It was fun.

OK Gang - it is last day of the month.........did you make progress?
I made some - in the garage and the yard.
My kitchen seems to be my most dis-organized place - a drop off point for something....every-time I walk through.

Celia - when do you get to retire? I can highly recommend it.
I hope you are able to get rid of most of the "stuff" you got from the co-worker and not mess up all the organizing you did in your cube.

I'm headed off to yoga class and then knitting group and finally a nice brisk walk with friends this evening....... another busy day.

I have 3 HUGE bags of yarn that I got from the Senior Center and I'm taking it to knitting group to give away. It will not come back to my house, because I will drive by the goodwill drop on my way home if I have any left.

5:00PM -
The yarn is all gone !!!
I took it to the knitting group and they all took over 1/2 of it, then the lady who teaches crafts to kids at the library took all of the rest of it !!!
Feels great to be rid of that stuff - emoticon

I've been away too long again, and the house shows it. Need my organizing mojo back. At the office, I managed to clean a lot of stuff out to make room to share the cubby with my telework partner. Then another colleague had the audacity to announce his retirement (the nerve!), and I am inheriting a substantial chunk of his job. His last day is tomorrow, so he has dumped loads of stuff in my cubby that I have to find storage for to make room for my cubby mate.

I have a couple of drawers with their contents emptied, one in the bathroom upstairs and one in the laundry room. I finished straightening up one in the downstairs half bath. I must try to finish one more before I dump out another. I almost have a cleared corner counter in one corner of the laundry room. I need to find an empty basket so I can dust and wash down the counter and then reorganize the counter on the other side of the sink. The progress is slow, but I can tell I'be made a difference already. Any progress at all is a good sign!

Looking around my house, I'm happy to report that things are pretty well organized......just a few papers on the kitchen counters (my landing pad for everything, when I walk past it.)
But,
I'll soon have that stuff sorted, trashed, or shredded.....

Your swim bag inspires me to clean my purse, MOONGLOWSNANA. And just an idea...we delayed a kitchen remodel by painting it a pretty new color and painting ugly cabinets. Eventually we did remodel, but the look we did in the meantime was really a mood lifter.

Luck You to have new kitchen cabinets! We need a new kitchen. Oh well...

I reorganized my swim bag and with a little more fine tuning I will have it just right!

I also cleaned my CPAP machine this morning to have it ready ahead of bedtime. That way I can get 5 more minutes rest tonight.

Packing for a 5 day trip today. Going to the pack light routine. Let's see if I can actually accomplish that. It's easier with the good weather predictions we have for the Ohio town we are headed to.

Just about all my cleaning and picking up is done.....laundry is done and put way, dishwasher is loaded (but no full enough to run yet.)
Yards are watered - but I still have to bushes to trim and again - I'm waiting for early evening coolness.

OK it is getting dark outside and I just finished the last hedge/bush trimming. All clippings are in the recycle bin for next week pick-up and all things are fully watered.

Like a new doll baby at Christmas that new car smell is wonderful. Stay with it Knuckles!

I went through a shelf of books in my sons room separating books according to the names inside. I'll mail the books to them so my grandkids can enjoy their dad's books just as they did.

I also worked on organizing that bathroom drawer that I emptied yesterday. Much better now!

My bedroom closet is completely cleaned out and organized. Made room on the shelves to put diapers, baby blankets, etc and a space to hang baby clothes. I have a couple of more pieces of furniture to move out of my bedroom so we can make room for the crib.

I just finished over 2 hours of heavy yardwork. I trimmed all the shrubs and hedges in my back yard - I still have 2 more to do, but will wait until it is cooler this evening.
I filled 5 large leaf & lawn size bags of the stuff - But the yard looks pretty good except for the dead lawns LOL

Knuckles - I looked up a pic of your new car. Really a cute little car - I had forgotten that you also have a van.
But the cute new car will surely motivate you to clear out a spot in the garage.

-----------------------------

Afternoon work : re-potted all my tomatoes into really large pots and planted some squash.
(yellow summer squash and zucchini). I always have luck with squash - tomatoes
- not so much LOL But, fingers crossed.

I haven't tackled anything too major this weekend. We are having our annual garden "maintenance" done as we decided a few years ago to forgo dragging mulch bags around our yard by ourselves and hired someone to help us. It's one thing to lift in the gym, another to lift a mulch bag LOL!

Enjoying the warmer weather and the holiday weekend. Thinking too of those who have lost their lives in service to our country, and their loved ones.

I ended up getting a Ford CMax Hybrid. wasn't what I thought I wanted, but of all the cars I drove I liked it the best.

I do worry if I will still like it two years from now, since I tend to keep my cars a long time. (other vehicles I have had for 14 years).

so my job this weekend is the clean out the garage of all the "extra" stuff we tend to throw in there to make room for me to park the new car next to the van. In the past, we just made sure to have room for the wheelchair ramp to go down in the garage.

Knuckles - what car did you end up getting? I know what you mean about making that kind of decision. I anguished for weeks before my last car purchase. I tend to keep my cars for about 10 years and the one I got in 2009 was kind of a mistake for me.
I have very poor visibility out of the side and rear windows. I still kick myself for not being a better buyer.

Hope you love your new car.

I'm home and it feels wonderful !!! I slept really well last night and hope to get back on my regular schedule quickly.

I didn't even bring my suitcase into the house - it is in the garage and I already have 1 load of laundry started.
As I bring the other stuff into the house, it will all go where it belongs and no junk left laying around.
I had a wonderful trip to Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and ended in Poland.
I traveled with a really great group of people and made several new friends who I will keep in touch with.

Well, I'm off to do my chores, pick up my mail, pay bills, and water the yard.
We had horrific wildfires where while I was gone and there was a message on my answering machine from last week telling me I had a mandatory evacuation order !!!!!
Yikes.
Everything is fine and I'm glad I wasn't here to get that message.
Chat more later.

It's been a productive month thus far. Started decluttering and organizing the closet. The vets scored with 2 big bags of clothes, and the baskets on the shelf make me smile. Decluttered the dresser tops so now there is room to set a glass. Baby steps but progress!

Once a year we bring in a team to weed and mulch our yard to prep for the season ahead. Yesterday they landed and boy did they do an awesome job. Money welll spent. Now I can probably keep up with our "verdant" climate in which weeds thrive! Grateful today.

I took a dozen different small bags of bulk food items (rice flour, quinoa - stuff like that) and put each into its own "Glad" container. I used my handy label maker and labeled each accordingly. Boy, my pantry sure looks better!

In searching fruitlessly for my high school yearbooks for freshman through junior years, I came across a box of old newspapers from before 2000. DH says he wants them because his daughter wrote youth articles for the paper. Well, I found multiple copies of each and ditched the multiples. The whole box smells like mouse urine, and he wants those smelly, old rags. Sheesh. Now, if I could just find those yearbooks. I have my senior one, but I can't remember where I found it years ago.

I caught up on my sleep yesterday, thus today was productive. I started my machines this morning, first doing laundry, and then the dishwasher. My DH helped me create a beaded necklace for our daughter for her birthday. It will be complte when I find the crimp bead which flew off my table onto the floor, landing who knows where! We fixed dinner together, tinola and rice which was wonderful, both the preparing and the sharing. Now we're enjoying Sunday night TV shows, and talking about our grands and our spoiled furry kids. It's been a sparkling Sunday!

I cleaned and organized my bathroom towel cupboard. It's heavenly in there. I wish I did this more often because it makes me feel so good.

Cool adaptive trick, MOONGLOWSNANA!

Made appointments for health exam and hair cut; shopped and planned meals, began a new blog for work.

I put my flowers on the kitchen table! We are lucky mamas right!

I also rigged a pretty tapestry bag and ribbon tied to the upstairs balcony. I load the bag when it's sitting downstairs on the piano. My knnes won't let me carry things up the stairs anymore, but when I get to the top I pull up the bag by the ribbon. It's working!

Cleaned off the piles of stuff on the dining room table, then put a pretty tablecloth on there and the flowers I received for Mother's Day.

Good morning!

Knuckles - so sorry you are close to danger.

Taking care of family business today: reading a draft of our will so we can move to signing it. Also laundry at home and pick up due at cleaners.

Way to go, Celia. I hope it feels terrific using the new shelf and cupboard space.

I have a busy day today, but plan to organize my annual medical appointments. Need my "routines" scheduled.

Finally feel like I got something accomplished beyond keeping up with the basics. This weekend I cleaned out spices (found one with labeled 2001); washed all the laundry including all the linens; pulled out stuff from under the kitchen sink and from under all the bathroom sinks for the Shelf Genie guy to install pull-out drawers; sorted all that stuff, trashed a lot, and organized what was left on the brand new shelves/drawers; visited two of the volksmarches my club hosts to restock the registration boxes, did grocery shopping; tossed old stuff from the fridge; located and dragged hoses down from the shed so I could water the newly landscaped front entrance; and worked on my task for my high school 40-year class reunion next month (I have the "in memoriam" display).

Good morning, team. I'm making a list for today while I have my morning cup of coffee emoticon !

I organized my messy file for future blog/writing topics--not Spark blogs but others, for my work. I grilled a healthy dinner and we ate outside for first time of season. This involved cleaning the outdoor table, and was so worth it. Beautiful evening!

Great going on the packing Travel. Have a wonderful time!
