Hey y'all! Boy motvation is something I definitely struggle with from time to time! I read something once that if you wait until you are motivated to start something, you may never start, but if you get yourself to start, the motivation will come. Um, yeah are they sure they know who they are dealing with here?! haha But really if I was honest with myself, something had to change......so I started, and looked for things to continue to motivate me.......

Here are some things that help motivate me:

1) Going to the gym with a friend.....if she shows up, then I show up, and then we cheer each other on.....for me, having a friend that is near my fitness level helps because then we are probably both dying at the same time and can really pick each other up, vs I am dying look over and my friend who is super fit is like climbing the walls or whatever while I can barely pick my feet up.

2) Reading inspirational quotes. I LOVE quotes. I am a total quote-a-holic, and I have made books of quotes that I read to help get me inspired.

3) When I work out, I am usually taking some kind of class or another and this motivates me because it requires to push my body further than I would on my own. I love this because when I get done I feel incredible. Not only do I feel good physically (even if I hurt or can only laugh sort of hysterically and can't feel my body) but I feel really good that I pushed myself and persevered and it makes me feel all hardcore I guess lol Also, pushing my body nets slightly faster results which for this instant gratification girlie make things worth continuing!

4) I make a ROCKIN play list full of up tempo music that I use to keep me going. And when I feel like I can't go anymore, I challenge myself to just one more minute or one more 30 seconds.

5) As far my eating, I do still struggle with that a LOT. I have found that when I work out, I don't eat nearly as much. First, I feel like even though I work up an appetite, working out IS hard for me, and I don't want to mess up my workout by shoveling a bunch of crap into my body. I do try to make sure my diet has protein and fiber. I don't "diet" specifically, as that doesn't work for me, but as I have said, I eat less, and I eat better when I am working out frequently because I am motivated to make healthier food choices for myself as not to totally cancel out my workout. But I am not perfect, and many hours after the work out, I will make not such good food choices so its definitely a work in progress....

Anyway, so these are some things I do to motivate myself! I would LOVE to hear what motivates y'all as its this sharing of information that keeps us going! (At least I think it is!)
