I went to visit a friend that just had hip replacement surgery and spent about 4 hours with her to keep her from being alone on New Years Day. We laughed, we cried and we promised to always be available for each other. A good day and a great way to start the new year.

Took extra me today with a patient that was having daymare flashbacks to a tragedy in her life. Was finished work and needed to get away on time but decided to give this patient my extra 1/2 hr lee way time for travel to an appointment.

I kissed and/or hugged every one of my patients goodbye today at the end of my shift. Then told them I would see them all again on Saturday. The smiles, the crinkled eyes, the pats on my hand or back and the lasting warmth of their hugs is what keeps me going when I want to simply quit. God Bless them all.

After realizing that we have been weathered out(sleet/snow/rain) I was able to continue looking at the day in a positive light. Our planned mini-reunion of family members will happen, just on another day! I took a nap, got some pretty significant walking done (in our halls) and am ready to sit and work on my Study of Esther! My positive? Not getting angry about not being able to go and not trying to manipulate the situation just to get our going to happen still..May seem like small potatoes to some of you, but have you ever lived with a TBI?
Since my Brain Injury I can struggle HUGE with fast changes of plan....

It wasn't today, but over the weekend I dropped off the gifts for the nursing home residents my husband let me "adopt" off the Giving Tree. 9 residents entire wish lists totally fulfilled! My husband is awesome and I thank God for him every day!

The Lord is my strength and i know i can do better with the Lords help. The Lord laid it on my heart to start a team called GOD ANSWERS PRAYER AND I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE ANYBODY THAT WANTS HELP TO LOSE THEIR WEIGHT TO JOIN . I KNOW I CAN'T DO THIS WITHOUT THE LORDS HELP !
