Hi, class team. I started on January 1 and have lost 90 pounds! Only have 10 more pounds to reach my goal! I love the shrinking waistline, but I also love my new, active lifestyle. Since joining SP I've become a runner. I've run four 5K races and have my fifth run in December.

I became part of this team Dec 2010 but I only began exercising diligently in May and also logging everything then. I've lost 5 lbs since and have lost some inches. I have lots of energy and have been seriously doing Turbo Fire, SP workouts or walking (if I'm not in the mood to do TF). People I've seen last May, I saw the other week, told me I lost weight. I guess, it has paid off that I have been working out a lot. Inches is more obvious than the 5 lb weight loss!

While I joined Spark People at with this class, had to restart in June as I was diagnosed with whooping cough shortly after joining and was ordered not to exercise. Feel like I am finally off to a good start. Congratulations to all of you who have met your goal!! I hope to meet mine by March 2012. Love Spark People.

So very sorry to hear of your loss, JerseyFlower. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts.

I actually "started" SP and my controlled carb food plan on December 29, and I remember that those first days were excruciating! Especially because I quit all the junk (sugar, white floury crap) cold turkey. I had a total melt down at a party on New Year's Eve and was miserable. However, I made it through that and have been loving my new --"lightest I've ever been in my life" life! The highlight so far has been running my first 1/2 marathon with my hubby and beating our goals June 25 (ran the whole way, ran a 10 minute mile on average, no injuries). I also went from a size 10 to a size 2/4 and lost my muffin top entirely! Now, after being at this weight for nearly 3 months, I've decided to lose another 7 lbs by Septemer 1 to see if I feel a little more comfortable at that weight. It will take effort and determination, just like it did in the beginning.

I'm on a little bit of a personal roller coaster. Was doing great, lost 35 pounds. Discovered I was pregnant and ate really healthy, exercised, etc. Then found out the baby stopped growing. Had a "wait and see" for almost two weeks, determined baby really was dead and had to had surgery to have it removed. I'm finding it really, really hard to get back on track. I feel fine physically now (it's been 3 weeks) but I am having a difficult time getting all my ducks in a row. Hit "reset" June 28 - new goals, new start. Alternating between doing well and not doing well. Ugh - I want to be back on board 100% and feel good, have energy, sleep well, be confident, and make progress!

Feeling happy and energetic.
First mini goal: pre-pregnancy weight by concert July 14. (Guns N Roses, baby!)

Ok...6 months in, I am 1 pound away from having lost 50 lbs!! I have more energy, my backyard has flowers, veggies and all the things for summer fun! I am, however, finding it harder and harder to spend time on the computer, maybe it was the end of the school year (I work for a school, and 2 kids, one will be a freshman and the other in 8th grade) I'm not sure. I have a check up at the end of the month, and will probably have to go off of some of my blood pressure medicines. It hasn't been easy, and I've hit a few plateaus (am battling one now), but am proud of what I have accomplished so far, and have a long way to go!
