Since 12/29/10 I've lost 20 lbs; 5 inches off my waist; drastically reduced my cravings for junk food and sweets; and gained more muscle strength and definition. My hubby has lost 35 lbs. I am a stronger runner. I look better in clothes than I have at any time in my entire adult life. I'm a size 2/4. Rolls on my tummy are gone! I wore a black bikini in Hawaii last month (even after 4 kids!) and rocked it:) All of my friends and acquaintances comment on my weight loss. I have not missed a single day of logging my food and fitness on SP. Love the results! emoticon

Four months in....

I've lost 22 lbs & 2 sizes (16ish to 12ish). I now regularly run 45 minutes without stopping and do my weight workout with 10 lb dumbells.

More importantly, I feel so much better and am getting a little more confident each day!

I've lost 19 lbs. I exercise regularly. I hike 3 miles around a nearby reservoir every weekend and the best part is that I go with my family. My DH has lost 30 lbs and is on his own journey back to health, so we are helping each other. I track my food daily (and honestly). I have many new, reliable friends on this site. I've never had such enthusiastic cheerleaders or such wise advisors. I am gaining confidence in my ability to perservere this time. emoticon

I have lost 13 pounds;
I have dropped down below the "obesity line" on the scale, woo hoo!
I have gotten in the habit of tracking everything I eat.
I've been following the SP exercise plan and gaining energy & fitness (except having been sick on & off for the last month, oh well!)
SP has continued to motivate me and I will get right back on that horse!

What a great list - so inspiring to read through everyone's accomplishments! In 3 months, I've lost 8 lbs, and an inch off my waist and arms. I've run a virtual 5k race and continue to surprise myself by being able to jog/trot/slog for 3 miles! Exercise and fruit and vegetables are becoming a habit.

In the three months since I've joined SP, I've lost weight and gained muscle, ran my first 5K (at a respectable time) and have been motivated to do more and eat better. I owe it all to SP and the amazing community of people on here.

Hi - I'm Julie and it's taken me three months but I've finally gotten up the courage to post a message. emoticon

I've also lost 36 lbs, 26 inches, went from obese to overweight and found muscles I didn't know I had. And I actually donated a bunch of clothes that don't fit any more so there's no going back.

One of the best things (other than my hubby getting healthy, too) is everything I've learned from this website and other SparkPeople. You are all so inspirational!!

I've lost 36 lbs in 3 months

Lowered my sodium from well over 3000mg/day (I'm pretty sure but guessing) to under 2000mg/day...most days am at around 1500mg/day

Had to buy new bras in 1 size smaller

Am fitting into jeans and capris I haven't worn in over 3 years

Gained so much energy, that I can't believe how bad I really felt until I took making a healthy lifestyle serious and permanent part of my life....

There are so many things that have improved with all the wonderful tools on Spark...and all the wonderful people who will step in to encourage me to keep on going...(even when my husband doesn't). Thank You All!!

When my nephew moved out he left a brand new mens winter jacket here. I don't have a winter jacket. So I wore it. It's an XL mens. I couldn't zip it over my stomach, hips, or boobs. Heck, the sides wouldn't even meet at the front to TRY zipping. I venture to say it was NOWHERE near it. A good 6 inches or more left to go.

I can now put that coat on, meet up the sides together, and ZIP IT UP. AND I can wear it like that. It's not tight, it fits over my hips, the zipper is not pulling or straining.

I say that's an accomplishment!

I've hit a bit of a slump now, so my answers today will be different than they would have been two weeks ago...

But this is a great topic because it's helping me focus on the positive!

1. I've discovered that little tiny core of steel in me (actually, it's more like a bibi - but its there!) that is NOT GIVING UP!
2. I'm a size smaller. Consistently size 14 and my clothes look a lot better.
3. I'm learning to focus on positive things and accept help from others when I need it.

Well, today is 3 months for me since discovering Spark. I'd love to see a collective list of our shared accomplishments since starting this journey!

Here are my top three:

1) Dropped my BMI from morbidly obese to just regular obese
2) Competed in my first 5k on Saturday! (WOO HOO!)
3) Much more comfortable overall - in my own skin, my clothes, in kitchen chairs

Feeling happy and energetic.
First mini goal: pre-pregnancy weight by concert July 14. (Guns N Roses, baby!)
