I don't remember the exact titles...they were a Denise Austin (I think that's the one) knock off's. All aerobic, one for basic, one for butts, one for legs...they actually were pretty good. My friends and I would have them with us and work out at the house we were at. I lost a lot of the weight I gained with my first pregnancy...I gained 60 pounds with him...he is now 25, 6 foot tall and about 225! No wonder why I gained so much weight...lol

Sweatin' to the Oldies!!!! I remember when I first did those tapes. Sometimes when I am exercising and I am feeling bored (when I am walking or exercising while watching tv) I catch myself singing some of those songs. Leader of the Pack, It's My Party and I'll cry of I want to, Rebel . . just to make it more fun!!!

ALL the Sweatin' to the Olides. I loved the music and I love to dance. I worked off 145 pounds with those tapes. When I worked at the home for the mentally disabled I donated all the tapes because we don't use VHS anymore and I find myself loving outdoor workouts more anyways. BUT....sure would like to get them on DVD some time!

My wife and I use to do the Crystal Light Aerobic workout (VHF) together. It took us almost a month to be able to get through the whole routine. After that we would do the workout and the bonus section on a regular basis. Whenever we found ourselves putting back on the weight out came the Crystal Light tape. Still have it today.

In high school I used to do a workout from the t.v in the a.m.....Something like Caribbean Workout but that might be the new name. I also have the rebok step video and I just recently got a step so I should check it out.

What a great question!

I didn't buy workout videos (of any kind!) until just a few years ago and can't remember what my first one was.

When I was in high school in the early 80's I used to get up early in the mornings to do the exercise routines on the local PBS station (in Fresno, CA). All I can remember is a lot of floor work demonstrated by a woman in a headband.

Does anyone remember the first workout tape or DVD (mine was a tape)? What is the oldest workout tape or DVD you bought that you are still using? Also what is your favorite workout tape or DVD old and new?

My first workout tape I bought right after high school in the early 90's was one of Richard Simmons Sweatin' to the Oldies. I did use it often at the time because most workouts were too hard for me. I was not overweight then but very out of shape.

My first workout tape I bought that I still use is Step Rebok workout. It was at least a decade that it was shelved because I had no step but got one in the last year and am using it again. I still find it a great workout.

My favorite workout DVD of all time is Core Rhythms Lower Body Sculpt. It is amazing and dancing away doesn't feel like the hard workout it is.
