You're only human. And a hungry human at that! Don't beat yourself up for not being perfect. Just get back on track. It's been my experience that one slip up doesn't make for a huge problem on the scale. The problems happen when that one turns into 3,4,5, weeks, months. So far, you're OK. Live a little!

I totally understand. I have been snacking a little more than usual and need to get that back under control. Don't beat yourself up. Tomorrow is another day!

Your not the only one, so don't beat yourself up. My first week on here I did horribly, but knowing that changing years and years of bad habits is going to be tough, and take it day by day, because in the long run your going to do great! Remember one step back, two steps forward. emoticon emoticon

There are no mistakes here. Only bumps on the journey. Every thing that happens teaches us something and helps farther us along.

First I want to address something else you said, though...
"For the first time that nutrition tracker didn't tell me I didn't eat enough."
And to say that I certainly do hope when it tells you that you didn't eat enough you go eat a little something more. Because if you're regularly under-eating it's going to get very difficult soon and could damage your metabolism.

That said...hotwings...The coaches here talk about the 80-20 rule. I'd always hear about the 90-10 thought. It goes something like this "If you are 'good' and on the plan 90% of the time, then it's ok to go off it 10% of the time". It all helps balance it out in the end, and it's even possible that an occasional shot of 'not so good for you' foods may help keep our metabolisms revved up. So today you eat a little extra salad and a little less dressing, you add 10 minutes onto your walk, and you smile and ENJOY your life! :)

I just had the same thing happen. I had a wild weekend, ate too much, didn't exercise and saw the results almost immediately. That bummed me out and it's taken me a few days to pick myself up and get back online.

That said, I'm determined to get this done and for the long haul! As you all have said, we're going to have moments from time to time where we step outside of the goals we set for ourselves. I've just got to stay focused on remembering to step back inside them when those moments occur...

I have just gotten back on board after a few days of slipping up. I think instead of thinking of it as a slip up, we need to give ourselves the space to be able to eat for enjoyment and not for calories. Like a once a week or once a month meal that we do not count, measure, or worry over. This change if for life, not for a few months. We have to figure out how to work hot wings into our nutrition also!

Yes, as a matter of fact I did enjoy those wings immensely. Thank you for your support. I guess I just needed someone to tell me that it is ok to slip up every once in a while.

Tomorrow is, indeed, another day - and one slip-up will not make or break you -

In fact, many slip-ups won't break you - slow your progress, perhaps - but remember, the mantra is:

Progress not perfection -

I hope you enjoyed the heck out of those wings!

Tomorrow is another day, and you can make different choices -

I don't know what came over me. I always pick up my husband and we go to Buffalo's Cafe. Well I didn't even think tonight when I picked him up. Yep...same as always we went to Buffalos for Hotwings. I just found out how bad I have been, now I am all depressed. For the first time that nutrition tracker didn't tell me I didn't eat enough. I can blame it on it being "that time of the month" or I can blame it on my husband or my son, but the truth is I just didn't think. Oh well, tomorrow is another day.
