Tumeric has powerful circulation and anti-inflammatory properties. I took it for couple of years (naturopath recommended) but didn't like how it'd change my body temperature so much during the day, I'd either be really cold or way too hot... so I now just use the spice in my cooking almost every day. I don't like the taste, so I add it under stronger flavors like garlic, cumin, onion, italian herbs, bay leaves.... in soups, stews, scrambles, frittatas, quiche and such.
