I reorganized/stacked all my smoothie ingredients into one area in the fridge using stackable containers. Fresh Spinach/Kale mix on the bottom, followed by the cut up fresh fruit container, and sunflower/nuts in smallest container to top it off. I'm set to "grab and go" for making tomorrow's healthy green smoothie!

As I'm working into the early evening hours today, my Instant Pot (pressure cooker) is ready to do it's thing! emoticon Food is ready in the fridge--can come home, place it in the Pot-turn it on and supper will be ready in about 10 minutes!!

Today i had to do my hair which is a job by itself, so in between walking and using the hot comb, I did push ups on the counter, did walking lunges and used the hot comb to do bicep curls

Was writing in my journal a few days back. Was frustrated at my inability to stick to a plan, stay away from sugar...the pain of the cycle of binging and broken promises. Wishing to escape my mind for a while because I can't find a plan that "works" for me. Then I realized that I was trying too hard. Keep it simple, right? Set a calorie goal, know your weaknesses, be honest with yourself at all times. Now I know. I cannot have sugar. Period. Maybe someday. But, as they say in AA, just for today, I can't. It just triggers my compulsive behavior. Can I have one little bite of cake? NO. One little tiny ice cream? NO! For me, this works right now. Some treats send me on a total binge, and others do not. I may have a little of the "safe" foods, but NONE of the trigger ones. Okey-dokey. Keeping it simple for me :) Now, sit back, and work it!

H team mates, if you are anything like me, the weekends are for catching up on everything you meant to do during the week, but didn't Although you want to take the time to spend with friends and family, it is important to stay on track and take some time for yourself

Visit the farmers market and cook a healthy meal
Get some Vitamin D, go for a walk in the sun
Grab a friend and take a new exercise class
Try a fresh fruit smoothie or juice
Catch up on your sleep
Drink plenty of water
Take time to write in your journal
Make a plan to step up your healthy plan next week

Take some time to set your goals for September. What do you want to work on this month? Look at your goals from August and ask yourself; what did I accomplish and what did I struggle with?

Learning from your past is one way to move forward in the future. It takes determination to change your habits, and setting goals is one piece of the puzzle towards better health

Decided to buy a new utility trailer rather than try to fix up the old one. the cost of what we felt needed to by upgraded and repaired we estimated to be at least half the price of the new one we bought. Plus saved the aggravation of having to rewire, paint and replace the wood flooring.

wrote a grocery list of things i needed for my nutrition plan and also for the recipe i am game to try, something new, But has no simple name to what its called ...
